Haven't posted in a while, here's some highlights.

I finally got my Bullmark Glow Zazahn reissue in today. Looks great. I'd share a pic but I've sort of disabled Flickr (and hate it). I'm sure others will post pics soon anyhow.

Got to find a new home for storing pics online. Won't do Flickr or Photobucket, sort of was checking out 500px. I don't know, seems like limited options out there. Trying to avoid the social aspect altogether.

It's important to note that after Instagram became part of Facebook my IG photos were being posted automatically to my FB timeline, but I was able to turn that off in my settings.

I had an Instagram account but deleted it as soon as Facebook got their invasive grubby mitts on it. Deleted my tumblr as soon as Yahoo bought that. Only reason I stayed on Flickr for so long is Yahoo tended to forget about it. I just don't like big internet companies coming in ruining things and often pimping your photos out as their property in one way or another. Guess that's just how it is now. What's the licensing situation of Instagram? All rights reserved options?

I guess I never thought about rights to my toy photos, it's such a casual thing for me. Only ever worried about that with my art and songs. Besides, since everyone is a "photographer" nowadays, and there's so many images clogging the inter~waves out there, I doubt someone will care about any of my toy pics... Even though I'm sure that's kind of ignorant of me to say, there's only so much I'm willing to keep up with!
ps~ If photography was my craft, I'm sure I'd feel different!
edit~ one last thought: Seems the only way to keep your art sacred these days is to keep it from any kind of digital format, hence avoiding dependence on big companies' technologies! Analog, baby, until you sell your art off and it becomes someone else's.

A lot of people, toy photos or not, use watermarks on their images to avoid them being taken. I've only had several instances of my photos being used, two of which were credited to me, and one which was uses by hellopike in a post about wanting SB to bring back the fight figure. I'd probably be pretty annoyed by my photos being used, but having my original and the taken/post date keeps a sense of being able to legitimately own the photos. Even still, I'm not very worried about someone taking my photos of toys and trying to take credit for 'em. There's no monitorial or recognition incentives for doing so.
