Hey Rich, if you talk about the price, it's difficult to say if a piece of vinyl is cheap or expensive from an objective view, it just depends on the market and what people wants.

By the way, honestly, I don't think you are in the position of talking about originality, since your last creations look really the same of others Japanese artist's sculpt: the new robo-gorilla = gorilla ju, the troll = boryokugenjin, toxigon = nagball + re-bustron + kaithunder, etc...
Even your brand name, as everybody knows, is a mixture of mutant chaos (real head) and soft vinyl hardcore (bemon).

Best three toys I bought last year all cost me under $100 a pop. I don't care for the Nag design or the fucktards associated with it... none of em. But I must say I do like that new head sculpt zombie-type-thing. But I would never pay what people "think" they are worth. I can literally (and do) buy works of art for less money and I know they aren't going to ass rape me down the line like these figures do. Maybe COOP can chime in

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and generally free to express the same, but I wouldn't say that that is an even close to fair assessment. Forget the whole Nag culture and its respective drama, you can't really attack an artist's work as derivative or unoriginal without more clear examples than that. Rich doesn't need me (or anyone) defending him, but those examples to me seem anything but evident. Any 'mecha' ape is not a variation of the specific HxS Ju figure - as much as I love his work, he cannot claim ownership over creative license of that type of creature; it was around long before him, and if anything these Japanese artists, and their American/foreign counterparts, are all paying hommage to the originals. By extension none is of greater value than any other. I do not see the thread linking the designs you mentioned - as for the name, that is really reaching - but in any vinyl toys of monsters you will be able to see tributes/connections to other toys, that is because the history of kaiju is so storied. You can draw comparison in that same way to any toy you might see on Skullbrain. Anyways, you shared your thoughts and I have done the same.

The nagball at Hyperstoic was up there in price too, to me it was worth it. you have to see that in person to appreciate it.

There were photos of the new head/body sculpts in black vinyl on both ****** and ******'s instagrams yesterday and they have all disappeared.. CONSPIRACY!! Jet fuel can't melt new nag sculpts

I saw that too.. It looked like a more detailed revamped OG Boryoku Genjin. I honestly didn't find it that appealing at first glimpse but eh, we'll see.

Agreed, I still think Mr. Shigeru is a freaking Genius, but i am a litlle bit puzzled as to why he seems to have gotten stuck going around in circles. A case of early, unmatchable epiphany ?
