The new Boogie I got from Lulu looks like it's made form Jolly Ranchers, which, being another rarity in the UK, makes it extra-special. Really happy with my parts mix, too.

Thanks Rei. I was quite happy when I received them. Now I need to grab the Gorilla 4.

Here is the Marine Kong I received a few days ago.

Man, the paints on that Marine Kong are out of this world Chimply. The blue accents on the head are perfect. Nice pickup.

Wow, that is a really lovely ape you snagged. have to say, I am pretty jealous. Possibly the best colourway I have seen of all the releases and customs. I just love the yellow, and the black accent with that strawberry chest - perfect.

I thought it was neat that the 1 helmet received actually has both version on it if you rotate it.

Ha! Yeah, that is great. :) You get two different battle versions. Really nice matching colours too; you can tell a lot of thought and effort went in just to the accessory.

Ah, man. Awesome grab indeed.

I was soooo tempted to get one I saw on ebay recently, but at $250 I just couldn't do it for this one.

Granted, with as few of those that ever pop up, prices like that have probably become average for this toy and may be the only hope of getting one...

Still, I can hold out. Thank Goodness for the S7 x SB aliens.

The whole Alien series are some of my favourite non-kaiju vinyl toys made. I had been fighting to win some for years on various auction sites, but it just never came through. Now, though, the prices are indeed getting up there. I'd still love to have even just one, but it is entering the realm where it becomes more of a 'display only' piece.

But wow, what fantastic toys. Congratulations on an excellent purchase. I am sure that was indeed a very exciting package to open. Now I will just have to arrange a visit... :)

You and me both. Marmit's ALIEN line and vintage Gatchaman toys are all I really chase down or go out of my way to buy now. The scale (bigger than you'd expect) and aesthetic of the Nostromo crew are just too good. I recall the inspiration for one of Marmit's toy lines (either Monster Heaven or Vinyl Paradise) being to have big chunky toys with an old-tooling look and feel to them, to remind collectors of being a small child with a bulky toy in hand. These really do that for me. Thanks to the term "alien" being such a commonplace word in Japanese toy auctions, I have always had pretty shit luck tracking them down on YJA, and even when found I never win the auction.

I remember passing the Marmit ALIEN toys up years and years ago when they were only $100-120 range, before they all disappeared. I was sure I could hold out hope and find some regretful buyer selling for retail or less, but it never happened (who can blame em?). When Dave ebay'd this one I messaged him and had to take it

Great finds both, Rei and Connell. I have always loved Gubila, such a cool character, and one of the few monsters we actually get to see in action 'under water.' Alse one of the KZ figures I still reallt need to track down. Excellent sculpt and really nice paint application and colour choice, as usual for the line. Really nice figure.

And what a nice goofy Spectreman Connell. Such a happy looking face and I just love the rough texture on his body. A lot of detail that you often don't see in poly bootlegs. Congratulations on adding such a great cheering plasticman to your collection! He will look excellent amongst your vinyl menagerie.

We need to revive the vintage mail thread.
