Re: Cop A Squat Toys
Thanks everyone! I'm so excited for these new guys! I've got a lot in the works right now, plus we're moving to a different state so I'll be ridiculously busy with that.

Very interesting. Are these digital sculpts?
Yup, all done digitally from turnaround drawings I sent.

Been wondering what you've been up to. It's been too quiet in this thread : )
So the Komorebi has a removable helmet? Does the Ango also have a removable piece on the head?
No, Angos helmet will not be removable. Too much involved, plus where's the mystery in showing everything?

These are great.
Wetterschneider always delivers. Are you tooling them at all once they are printed?
Awesome 80s vibe on these, I love it.
Yes he does! The left arms will be different but all the molds will all be made at the same time. I'll paint them and I'm sure I'll do artist collabs and maybe even some battles.
Really enjoyed seeing the beginning and finalization of this figures in this thread. I'm getting my own toy made much like how this one was made and I also am very impatient during its process lol
I really dig the new figures coming out too the retro sofubi action figure is always a good choice of style!
Looks like Adam is cookin' up somethin' new for CAST. The Semi Korosiya is one of my absolute favorite toys and, in my opinion, one of the best and most underrated sculpts in my short time of collecting. So I'm really excited to see where this is going!
Couldn't agree more. There's so much character and backstory to his designs, and he takes a lot of time to pay attention to little details with things like packaging, etc.
I missed these guys when you posted them earlier Adam, so forgive me for being late to the party. Both figrues are fantastic, and I say that without any reservation. Even unpainted in that golden colour I would sign up for one. Superb detail and character, as one would expect from you, but importantly, you have captured such nice proportions on them as well, something that is difficult to execute and a lot of new toy sculpts don't get right. I, too, get a really great action figure vibe from them, in addition to the sofubi hero. It strikes and excellent balance. Right away my mind went to the Supernaturals line. I really love what you have done with these two and can't wait to see more. Looking forward to reading the backstory - someone needs to do an accompanying mini comic! That would just be some delicious icing.

Wow.. finally clicked in here and really like these new guys! So Komorebi is the robot guy correct? Ango has the horns. Komorbi has a helmet smooth with diamond on the top? That's the finished version correct? I love it. craters on the back are great and simple up front is awesome. I don't know why, but I love characters who have there faces/eyes obscured.
Anyway.. I'll be looking forward to these.

Thanks everyone for the kinds words!
To clear up some confusion, the yellow figures, Komorebi and Ango, have been put on the back burner for the time being. I'm trying to figure out a way to do these fairly large, 12" or bigger.
The Fumetsu group will hopefully be ready this fall, these are the ones I posted the illustrations of on IG the other day. Erewhon, Vinge, Neumann, and Kurzweil, four individual figures around 7" tall.

The Komorebi and Ango figures are really great. One of the best sofubi designs I've seen in a while. They really capture the old school vibe but contemporary and original as well. Nicely done and looking forward to your paint designs on these.

Re: Cop A Squat Toys
I just received the pics of the first Fumetsu test pulls.
From left to right, Vinge, AIlesh, Neumann, Kurzweil, and Erewhon. AIlesh is the super computer that controls each of these beasts. He will be in body cavity of each figure.
Note that these are test pulls and this will not be the first color vinyl they'll be released in.

Re: Cop A Squat Toys
Allesh is two parts correct? So a clear figure with a color or painted super computer would be nice.

That's the idea, although they won't all be clear colors so sometimes the AIlesh guts won't show through. Not that he won't get special paint treatment it may just be hidden.
