I really wish they'd offer an OnDemand service so they could expand their streaming library. Like Amazon's set-up. But yes, lately the movies (and shows) seem to be lower quality, less desirable fare.

Yeah the netflix selection is getting thin.
I really enjoyed the first season of "NARCOS"

Did not enjoy Narcos^^^
Liked the concept and the first few episodes but then it just got as little ridiculous, especially with Escobar not dying in the end so they can stretch a season 2 out of it!
I am watching Luther finally and after a sleepy first season, season 2 has really kicked up a notch! Although I'm having a hard time thinking that no one in the UK will stand up to skinny little serial killers, or similarly framed anarchists armed with just a acid water pistol and hammer. I mean really? I guy like walks into an office like that here the US would get A) tackled somehow and have his head stomped in or B) legally shot right quick

To be fair a lot of what went on in season one was ridiculous but true at the same time. Including the prison escape. Netflix actually hired the two main real life DEA agents responsible for hunting him down as consultants for the show. There is a decent amount of fantasy mixed in but a lot of the craziest parts of the show did actually happen.
Jiro dreams of sushi os on netflix now. Beautiful film.

No I definitely read up and knew many of those events were true, but I think it just jumped the shark for me with the helicopter chasing one of the head honchos in the truck. He seemed utterly ruthless then just sort of gave up. Spiraled into lame after that for me.

Also the actor playing Murphy is just annoying.
I agree. I find it interesting overall but nothing more than that. I would have preferred if it was one season and done honestly.

I also agree that it should have been all done in one season.
I really wished they started with Pablo's early years, there was so much good stuff left out from the book.

Re: netflix instant thread.
I just noticed that Netflix has added several titles from my favorite Japanese animation house, Studio 4°C:
and a feature that I downloaded forever ago ...but admit that I haven't had a look at yet: Sunao Katabuchi's Princess Arete. http://www.netflix.com/title/80063294
I was originally made aware of the above biscuits thanks to the custom sub underground. It's pretty exciting to me that these beauties have finally received some official English-language love.
I don't think anyone has mentioned Troll Hunter. I thought it was hilarious and charming. There is an old thread on the movie here viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38504
I can see how some folks wouldn't like the style of film making, but I thought it really worked well.

Finally watched this last week after sitting in my queue forever. It was enjoyable. The straightforward approach to trolls was good. Whenever there was a question about some aspect, they had a reasonable answer for it...in regards to trolls.
Plus the scenery was beautiful. The outdoor, daytime shots were really gorgeous. I may have to visit Norway.

I highly recommend Doomsdays on Netflix. It truly has some funny scenes in it. Leo Fitzpatrick is downright hysterical as Bruho. I felt old watching it because I saw Kids in 1994 at a movie theater and that was almost half a lifetime ago.

Watched Manson Family Vacation today. It started off strong, and could have really been fun and weird, but it kinda flatlined into normalcy at the end. Nice to see the "other" Duplass brother in something for a change.

The opening to w/B&D is so disturbing. It's exactly like what I see when I'm regaining consciousness after fainting from laughing to hard. Mostly the flowing hair thing.
