Yeah I'd say 3 essential vintage books to own are Yuji's book, the I Sato Japanese Hero book, and Beautiful Book of Monsters which features Saito's incredible collection. In fact several guys from here (but mostly TBDX) have visited him and were allowed to take pictures of it, get ready to drool if you have not seen these: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=31265

I hope soon be able to score one!

Not sure if this is strange or rare, if it isn't please tell me, and I will remove this post... I was watching this vivid red fellow, and he has quite the mesmerizing stare. Reminds me of that fishy vintage toy, but I don't know anything about him. Can someone please tell me who he is made by, and what he is? Curious minds want to know Thank you!

Vintage Kamen Rider standard Yamogeras ヤモゲラス made by Bandai. Not super rare but he is missing his belt which would have lowered the price by quite a bit

I think the most rare is the price, for me too high for a incomplete figure.

Yeah, I agree with what has already been said. That seems a bit hefty of a price for him, even if the belts are general and one could be replaced from another figure. Typically the loose/roughed up Kamen Rider guys don't command too much, and are not hard to find, but you have to pay a fair bit for one in good condition with their accessories. The giants on the other hand are rarely 'cheap.'

Re: strange or rare yahoo auctions post here (after theyre o
i feel like even beat up and imcomplete rider villains command a hefty price depending on the character, and scarcity and all of that. i probably would have paid 12000 yen in this condition in my hayday of gotta have em all. oh well!

I have to agree with michael, I've never seen a standard Chamelon or Cobraman ever go cheaply!

Well, it's true that it is all a relative scale, with vintage figures.

Thank you Scobot! Gecko monster, hmmmm... I love the "fins" on his head, and that red is so vivid! Thank you too for the kanji, I might have to look for one. Yes, those Bandai riders aren't "cheap" (although cheap compared to.... some plastic apes , and... anyone got a spare 50000 for a Buta 1st gen. Alien Zarab? ). I have the giant Chameleon and Cobraman (super nifty!), but it seems it's harder to find the standard size ones that are still in good shape--I would've thought the opposite would be true! Everything is "relative" on JYA

Scientists (and ones in training) on this board unite and put out some serious excel graphs so we have visual aids on these relative trends! Compile that data (I'm too busy with school and haven't been keeping up with auctions at al loll). Yeah also (and I'm sure Grace and others would agree) don't under estimate the cost of those Giants either! While the Standards may be relatively harder to come by at times, the Giants do cost a pretty penny.

I just love the design on that fellow. So much 'crazy robot' to him mashed up with the usual 'hero' look. The baddie is fantastic as well, that is some really amazing header. It far surpasses even the coolness of the toy; this has everything I want to see in a line. I really want to check out a whole strip with these guys' adventures. That Pachi creativity and wonderful design really comes through with that artwork. But agreed that that is some high pricing.

Vintage Pachisofubi Devilman Ultraman and Lion Maru candy shopI think the more strange it's the bag, is the first one that I see in bag. I like the detail of the Lion Maru and the Ultraman in the same package. But still too pricey for a flat head. Went for:35,500 yen

Ha, yeah, I haven't seen this particular trip packaged together, which could be why it went fairly high for bootlegs, but with that sad looking face (not to mention the relative packaging condition) I would certainly be opening it up myself to lend him a loving repair - he deserves proper inflation!

Actually, that big beautiful book of monsters features a lot of my collection and Kashimoto's (then) collection. The opening Kanegon and eggier are mine for example. My name is towards the back of the book in the Toho section, but I'm told that it was translated oddly so it doesn't say Brian Flynn correctly. Wow, I had no idea. Not being able to read the text of all these great sources, you miss a lot, naturally - nevermind little details like this. Very cool; thanks for sharing that, Brian. Kingboy D wrote: That seller had a lot of nice rare items. I never saw that Jirass before. Care to share it (or any others) here, since the info on the seller isn't posted?

These are pre-auction end prices, so assume they all jumped up significantly. The Baltan is a flesh version. Several of these are giant-sized. All good stuff.
