What a stunningly gorgeous bit of cut crystal that you have there, Rei. Consider me green all over!

Fall leaves + candy colour goodness just makes me so happy. Simple pleasures that give me a lot of joy. Thank you very much David and Bryce. That is a great Prisma. I always thought this was one of the oddest choices to make in vinyl form, but still love it. I have one myself. Yamanaya always does such great and interesting toys. The version I really like too is this one with Ultraman Jack trapped inside, I'd love to swap out for this clear version someday.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Nice buy! I always really liked those sets, such a genius idea too, but I had always kinda hoped that the figures could have been more like the traditional Takara Micromen. Guess it is just a matter of 'nostalgia' for me, but I prefer their look and construction, as flawed as it might be at times.

Yeah, i never had any first time round so nostalgia doesn't factor into it for me. The vintage ones i've seen have those big cuffs and hands in white plastic which look a bit out of place with the rest of the figure. These modern ones are a bit more colour coordinated . . .

Colo(u)r-coordination is arguable a bit easier when you keep it black and white: _Behind_the_scenes.gif) Nakajima > Microfolk, cuffs or not! Great grab, Joe!

Ah! I have the '54 suit from this series. Sadly, construction hasn't improved so much; feet broke off on mine almost instantly. Still love it tho~

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Moog, nice. I have one set (the Jet Jaguar one), but the damn hands and such don't stay on. I just shoved it right back into the box and into storage. Hopefully you will fare better. Please let me know how well it stays assembled. Maybe I will have faith restored in the line and seek out the others. That Marmit Alien is a special find indeed. Congratulations! I really wish they hadn't become so unreasonably pricey over the last couple years. Or that Marmit could get permission to license another reissue of them. Such a nice vinyl figure, and the whole Nostromo crew too.

Thanks ... This clears up a little mystery for me - I have had this little Yamanaya ultra jack for a while but was unsure what he was from, thought he was a finger puppet

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Haha, that is great, Scott. Kind of a bit sad that there is a Prisma out there without his little captive, but I do like the Ultra Jack plug on his own. A cool little croucher in action pose.

I dont know about the others, but with this one you just pop his feet and hands off and replace with the Gojira feet and hands. They stay on fine. The suit is quite flexible but has just the right amount of rigidity.

^ So is the plug at the bottom of your Pris-ma soild? I'm curious if the puppet hole and sculpted interior are special to the Jack-havin' variants.
Nice new duo, Rei! I've been conflicted about whether or not to let my MG5 back lose into the wild...

Yes, the bottom on mine is one big kidney shaped plug (1998). The Ultra guy plug thing was added in a later release (2003).

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I try try try to stick to one per sculpt, but I've been in love with that particular version for too many years not to have jumped at the opportunity to pick him up this time. That warm green! That belly stripe! Such a perfect little toy.
Hard to go wrong with anybody's take on a Bullmark mini, though.
