Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
Did anybody pick up the toy + zine from NYCC? I'm interested in who the artist/s involved are.. and how many pages?
Also if it's possible to scan the pages (or at least photograph them) and upload them here I know a lot of SB members would appreciate the chance to see the comic in full. Looks like a lot of work was put into it - would be a shame it doesn't get a wider audience.

While I agree with you, Judging by how Shig has handled his videos, and Johnny Ryan releases, I don't think he wants his comic out there for a larger audience. It's part of his mystique.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
Yeahhh that's true, respect his wishes and all that - but from the couple of pages I've seen the artwork looks super nice. I would kind of be pissed if I were the artist and only a handful of people got to see something that took months to complete -from photos I've seen it looks to be at least 64 pages of sequential art. The linework is so sweet on this - and it looks like it will read quite well as a comic. Guess it's just a matter of seeing who wins the lottery tomorrow and it's up to them if they want to share it or not. If anybody hasn't seen it yet - this is what we are talking about:

Something about that reminds me of Paul Chadwick's style. Or Pia Guerra.

It looks OK. Maybe a little stiff ? Suehiro Maruo would have be great on this. Hope it's release by itself sooner or later.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
Wow. That seems highly disrespectful to the comic book artist, if that is true. Shig proves himself to be the biggest nag of all.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
I guess the artist knew about that before drawing all of these pages.. at least I hope that was the case. From the two single pages I've seen, I really dig his style - very old school and I would have liked to check out his other work outside of this.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root (NAGNAGNAG)
Seeing as I couldn't get my hands on a copy of the comic a few weeks back I figured I'd just draw my own page.. Was looking through some old horror comics and stumbled upon a splash page where a murderer is being haunted by people he had drowned/buried.. I swiped the composition and turned it into a collector being tormented by the unobtainable NNN. Still a bunch of work before it's finished but I figured the thread has a bunch of fan art in it already and could use some action

Thanks guys I'll post the finished (coloured maybe?) drawing when I get a chance to finish it. Been able to squeeze in an hour or so every couple of days.

Killer work! You should make it a coloring page for the people of SB.

Up now in Coop's new Threadless shop.. Not sure exactly how Threadless works but I'm guessing these are made to order? Should be a good chance for everybody who's interested to grab one for $25
