Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Thanks, Jonathan. Yeah man, I like it.
Now that you tell me that it's Harmon's, I totally see it in the head.

ultrakaiju wrote: Dang Jason, what a haul of fantastic toys. The only thing I can fault you there, well, if I really had to, would be your image sizes! Honestly, what a grouping of great vinyl. Not that any of us ever doubted your taste, but you always seem to outdo even yourself. And, of course, wonderful pics. I love a guy who just loves toys. Forget all that other nonsense. There, I said it. I love you man. Deal with it. Haha -- Thank you, Steve! Love you too, man, and I appreciate the kind words. I was totally not in the know regarding the wookie design sketch being the inspiration behind Bronco's ug mug. Super cool. Honestly, I'd resize them but I'd have to re-host the images somewhere other than instagram in order to do so. When using the ig picture link, it just embeds the picture at size, there's no way of resizing the image other than doing so manually.

Just seeing this post now, so apologies for going back in the thread a bit, but if you were interested Myles, that fella has sort of interesting story behind him, if I understand it correctly. The character was meant to appear in an unreleased episode/story of Ultraseven. Towards the end of the show, I gather there were some issues arising due to cost constraints combined with some other production issues. I believe his name is something akin to Space Beast God Goat, and was a surviving member of the 'monster corp', of which the episode was supposed to be focused (it was, I gather, a mass battle, and was called "15 Aliens + 35 Monsters", 『宇宙人15+怪獣35』, visible in a script draft). The episode was written by Shozo Uehara and directed by Akio Jissoji. Perhaps even more fascinating was the the 'creature' may have been designed by Noriyoshi Ikeya, well known for his work on the films of Seijin Suzuki. Anyhow, it sort of disappeared from knowledge, until 2007 where it was resurrected in a feature article in Figure King ( # 118). Thanks for the additional info. All new info to me!

One of my last and most favorite toy sets received in 2015. Gamera finger puppet set (2000) by Studio Chikyu-do Daiei (sculpted by Exohead). a Thank You to scobot and 3x3is9 for the identification help. I was under the impression that it was a set of pachi figures. Edit: This is the GID version.

I didn't know Exohead sculpted that set, it's really nice and can be had for a great price. I figured they were going to be pretty junky, but really nice thick vinyl for such small guys.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
I feel like the chocolate Deathra from last year's Lucky Bag doesn't get enough love. It might not be the most colorful Gargamel has to offer, but damn does it look delicious. That red "cherry-on-top" eye brings it together so nicely. Mine is definitely a permanent part of my collection.

Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
Thank you! I have even more goodies coming in and can't wait to take more pictures. Señor Beverage is correct -- The Techno Loaders is one of the first two released, and the Street Fighter toys are by Dune. Here's the whole gang in the Turbo colors:
