A sludge puddle of love for the kitteh of teh dai: Capitu!
Also, I follow this artist on Instagram who paints crazy stuff, mostly involving cats:

^ Cool! I'll have to look him up. Dee's doing just fine, thanks! Although I suspect she's not too happy with me right now for taking her to the vet, she just put down a good meal and is getting plenty of rest. Her shaved belly is very cute, but she might get mad if I share such things

Glad to hear Dee is doing well! It's harder on girl kittees. You're a good Dad for staying home by her side. I'm sure she's comforted by that
Neat kittee art!

Re: kitteh of teh dai
It was a year ago today I last saw my little furry best friend. I wish I had gotten the chance to say a proper goodbye, but then, we so rarely do. He was the greatest companion and fellow adventurer a guy could have ever asked for, and wherever he is now, I hope he is having a good time and knows I am still thinking about him every day.
Was going through some photos of him, and I just noticed a batch taken [unintentionally] in succession, as I was snapping a quick pic of Tanuki on his favourite perch one time, but he decided he was more curious as to what those crazy humans were doing and why they would disturb his nap, and did not want to sit to be documented in such a manner, and decided to do his own thing - as cats are always wont to do. So its choppy, because I was only trying to get one photo, and not actually from a series or video, but you get the idea.

Agh. It's so hard when they leave us. But at least they've lived happy little lives smothered with love! They also leave having made us better humans, capable of compassion and caring for innocent souls. Here's to Tanuki and all of the angels in our lives!

Re: kitteh of teh dai
Excellent remembrance, Steve, and well said, Rei. It's coming up on a year since my trio of friends began to take their leave, so I can surely relate.
I will admit that I must have seen too many silly pet accessories in my time (as well as silly videos) because I can not even tell whether this is a (not-so-elaborate) joke, or a real thing. But then, I guess I have already put too much thought into it, because my first reaction to seeing the actual product was 'oh, you don't stick your tongue through there?', followed by 'then how is this any different than just brushing your cat?'. Wouldn't some kind of actual mouth involved piece (a la dental dam) made more sense? Oooh boy, do I need a life. ^.^
Henry seems to have caught the latest Buta bug fever, a very powerful affliction indeed. Symptoms: lethargic, plays with the ipad to locate buta pics, stares continually at peoples' buta collection, wondering just why the heck his Mom didn't adopt some of those figures
*Also obsessed with release dates of all those toys!
fever also causes angst, lust, and headaches...

Aw, that is just the perfect story Grace (thought it makes me question myself even more for my 'cat-like' tendencies ). I can certainly sympathise with the affliction, but rest assured in the fact that I know he is in a home like few others to soothe his Buta symptoms.
