Now that they are facebooking instagram and taking your feed out of chronological order it seems kind of pointless.

facebook has the option to arrange either chronologically or in the order of assumed importance... although I seem to have to reset to chronological every time I visit online.
I would hope they realize that without the option people will leaving in droves.

^ About a billion years ago, when I was 19, I worked at Borders. One of the daily tasks was sorting through the boxes of new shipments at this giant, square table with a bunch your co-workers. One day I turned to a friend and said something, thought nothing of it, and returned to the sorting. She sat and pondered for a minute, cleared her throat, and only then asked me, "Did you just say, 'I am the beautiful puffin'?" Apparently I had.

Aaaaaand as quickly as it began, it appears to be over...
Was anyone else here using an app on their PC or Mac to upload images to Instagram? I haven't been able to confirm this directly, but it seems IG has just changed up their API pretty significantly. Significantly enough, as least, so that all of the work-around programs out there that let those of us that don't mess with smart phones play too seem to be dead in the water.
Confirmations, advice or admonishments welcome!

Well, instagram did just go through a major upgrade. I didn't know those kinds of desktop apps existed. Makes sense... Which one are you using? Maybe they are in the middle of playing catch up.

I was just using a free one, from the Chrome app store, with the exciting name of Instagram (Unofficial). Poking around the net some today, I found a bunch of other similar sounding uploaders, but all of them that had any sort of forum or feedback area had fresh messages posted with complaints similar to mine.
Waiting for the ketchup is the phrase of the day, I guess. Foo.

It's prolly on IG's end. I'm sure they don't like having things like that out there using their name. I did notice IG was acting pretty wonky today like not sharing things to FB, Twitter, and Flickr.

I'm using a pretty basic one simply called Uploader. Since it's also sold in the itunes store, I guess that makes it an "official" unaffiliated program.
Sooo far, so good

Hey JP - are you uploading from a device? When I searched 'uploader' in iTunes I was only offered options for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. No PC option for Davey.
Nice start, by the way.

Thanks, muh man. I don't think anyone could beat your start though. In regular toothaction fashion - WUH BAM!!! Awesome toy photos galore! I wish there was a button to like em all in one swoop
Hmm, I'm using Uploader on an '08 macbook pro... I'll do a lil googlin and come back with the path I followed. Stay tuned...

^ K, I'm not sure about other computer platforms, but if you're on a mac, this is the Uploader you want :
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/uploader-for-instagram-post/id969998518?mt=12... from the description - "
Finally, upload pictures to Instagram from your Mac! "
Hope this helps some of y'all. Tentacles crossed for ya, David.
