Gargamel Lucky Bags 2020 (there will be spoilers)

Such a GREAT year for Gargamel lucky bags! Such great stuff this year. Congrats to everyone getting so many great figures. On a selfish note, THANK YOU for those who bought bags from us (again) this year!

 

2nd painted Miborah spotted, lazcyk on IG. Same contents as this bag

 

Received the 'standard' bag with the unpainted neon pink Tetran Beta, so I won't post redundant photos. Favored this bag slightly over the other standard bag, but wouldn't mind picking up the painted Tetran down the road.

 

That Zag reminds me of dragonfruit

Also those dokuro sculpts are so good. Love that classic styling.

 

Which painted figure did you get?

 

DAmmmnnnn...I think that neon pink is so bright it torched your camera sensor

I got the blue Tetran bag. I like the sculpt and colorway they went with, just wasn't the bag I was hoping for.

Got impatient looking at all these beautiful guys, and ordered another bag from S7 thanks again Skullbrain!

 

Got my bag today. It's the:

Blank gray Zag
Painted 55 blue Tetran
Blank pink Dokuro
Blank burnt orange Vendor Zero
Blank burnt orange Megalith

The Tetran in particular is fantastic! I wasn't hugely into the sculpt when I saw the first proto blank pic on the blog, but I changed my mind once I saw it painted. The 55 blue painted colorway looks great. Lots of silver spray along with all of the angular designs on the face give it a mecha-like vibe. This could become my second favorite Gargamel standard sculpt after Deathra. Blank Zag is awesome too. Looks like a statue as the gray speckled vinyl looks very stone like in person. Very happy with this bag!

 

Haven't really been seeing the Dokuroman paints in the blog post around. Might just be my bad memory, though.

I wonder what led to them making that choice? Continuity, or just a random artistic decision? It’s strange because there’s already a micro (and a mini too, I think?) and those have two eyes. Maybe their eyes merge when they grow up

 

My bags disappeared into customs yesterday - and Ive had things simply not emerge from there in the past (there is NOTHING you can do) - but hopefully that doesn't happen this time. But seeing all these amazing bags is making the wait even harder. After years of buying lucky bags I have to say that this years standard size selection is the BEST I've ever seen. Kiyoka and Krew have really outdone themselves. The blue 55 painted Tetran is blowing my mind, then the painted miborah and zag. All are great (altho I can only imagine an unpainted zag in the same hot pink that the Tetran is produced in - that would have been amazing). Last Saturday I finally got the last production zag I needed, and barely a few days later I am now two down. But thats the great thing, the chase is still on, and with Gargamel it's do-able and egalitarian.

 

Oh god, I hope customs releases your bag soon... and that they don’t tamper with anything.
I am so happy that Gargamel gives us this opportunity each year. Their one-offs are pretty expensive, but I can get a gorgeous painted sculpt for a super affordable price by buying an LB. It’s a great deal, and that’s why I’ve bought one for the past 4-5 years.

Can you believe that I almost didn’t order one this year? Thank goodness I took the risk!
