I just meant the original, non-mecha Mibora.
I guess you could consider the lucky bags as the production runs. There is usually a small amount in the bags and compared to the one offs at shows this is the only place(I know of) where you see more than one in the same colorway.
Not sure if it's been raised before, but the painted Zag has a moving tail again. Unsure about the blank as I don't have one. Does that mean it's another run from the original moulds? Any insight into the reason for the initial change, and now this shift back?
Yes, this year's mibora is the first & only painted run so far ! Nice to see the classic Kiyoka-style paint on it.
And also yes, the tail on the unpainted stone zag is articulated. I think probably switching for nostalgic factor
Dont think anyone has pointed this out yet but the painted and unpainted zag are on two different vinyls. I cant recall seeing that in the past, usually there the same color right?
From what I can recall, sometimes yes and sometimes no. There were no painted versions of the Zodiac and Coke-bottle Standard toys
Does anyone have the LB glow zag from a few years ago, it would look really good next to the new painted Hedo.
Which one is that David? Pic?
Just spotted this on IG. These guys look amazing together.
A matching glow Deathra and some Mechas would be excellent. Those look perfect together.

Second bag arrived from Angel Abby today. Two sets of staple-holes
Not that this means anything, but I will probably think before ordering from them again.
Hmmm... do you think they might have taken the "extra good" stuff? Sorta like cherry-picking the chocolate bars in a halloween bag, and leaving the prunes behind. If you're unhappy with the contents, might it be worth sending off an inquiry? Pretty bad form.
Weren’t they caught doing that once before?
Did you take pictures? I would have. As many of us know, Angel Abby has had a questionable reputation in the past with Gargamel and they should be taking every measure possible to fix this. In a scenario like this you might want to email Gargamel directly.
I think it was when they opened 2 bags for themselves and posted the contents before anyone got theirs and they were unaware that that was bad form from a retailer.
And they also happened to pull the most rare things with those two bags...
Not that I'm 'owed' some wild double-Miborah plus zodiac bag, just rubs me the wrong way that it was opened before, and possibly not by Gargamel. If I bring it up to AA I expect the answer will be the same whether or not they did anything, so I will probably stick to US retailers in future. Thank you @animator for the suggestion to contact Gargamel; I might do that.
The bags this year are so good. Gargamel never stops bringing the heat.
It may be innocent, we received at least one bag that had double staple holes that I recall. And this has happened in the past. In no way am I going to stick up for AA. I'm just saying this is most likely just a coincidence. That being said, what did you get in your bag?
I think they were caught opening all the bags and then reselling all the contents separately. They may of course poached any of the rarer figures by doing so, but I don't remember the fury other than there was some. And rightfully so
That's my thinking as well, someone putting the bag together could have to redo a damn staple
Bag was pretty standard, painted Hedo, pink Tetran and Dokuro micro. All fun stuff, and I buy with the intention of keeping 1-2 things I really like per year anyway. So I'm back and forth on contacting anyone about it. Just enough suspicion to make me uncomfortable ordering again. Also, not to get too deep in the weeds here, but the staples on my S7 bag are at an angle, almost vertical. The AA bag has one set of holes in the same almost-vertical positions, and the staples themselves are horizontal. I know how ridiculous I must sound, but there you go.
They did this, then sold off a lot of unwanted LB stuff on Ebay. SB is quick to attack and might have blown it up to be more than it was...they did get the absolute rarest stuff though so judge for yourself. This was in 2012.
They dug a bit deeper when they bought a lot of 1 offs from a Gargamel event, only to sell or trade them a few months later for double. About a year later they had their own Gargamel event at their shop.
They want to be a respectable retailer but started off pretty badly. I have bought from them a few times, including a gargamel LB. I know some people will not trust them, or support them, due to these interactions.
From my point of view they take the approach of a collector first. They post their personal collection as part of their business account. There is a blurred line between the 2 and it can seem unprofessional.
Personally, I'm not a forgiving buyer. I wouldn't trust them after that "incident". Opening all the bags and selling the contents separately, in addition to just "happening" to have the rare stuff, is the dog with the shifty eyes
^^^^^^ (Animator' post)
This is pretty much a main reason as to why we NEVER keep any of the bags we get. They all go out to supportive customers and if there is a figure I just must have I buy on the second market. Keep it clean. Keep it fair. Keep it ethical. Do that and there's never an issue. It's not a hard line to walk in my opinion. Most of the LB retailers walk this line as well me thinks
S7 did something similar in 2007? when Ramos (miss that dude) broke up bags and sold individual pieces in their store.
Nothing sketchy, just positioned as allowing collectors who can't afford or justify a full bag to get individual pieces.
I wont forget that Gargamel custom buyout. The shows have mostly been a 1 per person thing and they used their position as a retailer to abuse that and brought up half the show. Never supporting them.
