I don't, sorry. I never keep a bag(s) for myself. I've always felt weird about that. However, I can take a pic of the mail receipt with everyone' tracking numbers on it. lol The bag color is a dark brown this year. I apologize. None of this is very funny (or helpful) is it GO Ibis FC
WOW, that's impressive and extremely (possibly unnecessarily) ethical of you. I envy your self-control.
Thanks everyone for the positive energy. I’ve been buzzing and vibing, looking at these guys all day today. It was super fun to make it a thing. I cannot say enough how rad Tetran is. In perfect proportion with all the others but still maintains this “meatiness” that is texturally very pleasing. He’s thicc, is what I’m saying. And I LOVE it. And the cyber-triangle-punk vibe is naturally appealing to me. Here’s another shot from a little above Tetran to get a better look at the front of the head design: I’m #&@%ing PSYCHED to see other bags! GAR-GA-MEL!! GAR-GA-MEL!! GAR-GA-MEL!! P.s. My art direction/photography was in a big slump this past year, so this was a great kick in the ass.
I don't collect Gargamel. Every year I take delight in watching this thread, and witnessing y'all's blossoming joy. That Tetran is gorgeous.
Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to see Manny since June of last year. Sad times, but I do want a fourth. It still warms my heart that Ggml is what got me in to sofvi years ago, and that Kiyoka liked the tattoo. Of course I am eagerly awaiting my bag as well! I'll be sure to share when the time comes (I know the bag is on the way and my fate is sealed).
Don't own any Gargamel yet, tempted to snag one of these bags. Are they rando colors? Or are the pics that were shared the colors in all of them? Because that blue Tetran is rad!
I found this board while doing a Google search. My focus at the time was primarily KR customs, and through that I learned of sofubi. It was Gargamel’s Deathra and Zagoran, and T9G’s Rangeas that really got my attention. I remember being at my ex’s house when I did a Google search for info on Gargamel lucky bags. Found this board, and the rest is history. I browsed all the past Lucky Bag threads and fell in love with sofubi as a whole. The beginning of a long, expensive addiction, haha. Ahh, good times. My parents have been confused by my collecting, but I truly believe it’s become such a big thing for me because of gender pressures during my childhood. I absolutely loved dinosaurs when I was young, but once I started to go to school I sadly realized it was a “boy thing.” I admired monsters from afar, but kept everything to myself because I was scared of being “weird.” (I proved myself weird in many other ways, trust me ) It took adulthood to finally stop giving a crap about what people thought. I’m not surprised at all that I was instantly drawn to kaiju. They’re the toys I would have LOVED to have when I was young. Okay, that was a long tangent there. Whoops. But you get the point. Gargamel led me here, and still continues to make me happy.
You might want to search 'lucky bag' in the thread titles, which will give you a better idea of the lucky bag contents. I'm guessing the 2018 and 2019 bags are fairly representative of the selection we'll see this year.
Bag #2 spotted: 1. Blank Pink Tetran 2. Painted GID Smashface Hedo 3. Blank Brown Vendor 4. Blank blue dokuro micro 5. Blank GID dokuro 6. Zodiac Cat for the lucky and friends Pics: Spoiler
Got a text alert that my bag will likely arrive on Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed that USPS can make that delivery date!
Seeing Hedoran again is the highlight for me. That's the one sculpt that I enjoy the most by Gargamel and its exciting to collect new ones for a change, instead of chasing older releases.
Just got these in! Very happy I was hoping for more painted figures and more color variety. More paint would cross out the lack of color variety. No deathra's or garudans? Still love the bags and hoping to snag a painted hedo! The dokuroman are perfect! Just notice this was the first zag, I'll take a better pic as it's needed to see the colors. Grey vinyl with what looks to be navy/black and silver/white glitter. Very light on the glitter but makes it look like stone!
Big mail day this morning! No surprises from my loot. I'll be keeping the painted Tetran but most likely be trading or selling the rest. Keeping an eye out for the standard zag. Really glad that Gargamel keeps this going, it's definitely the only way I could have a chance at these figures. Using spoilers to save space... Spoiler: Bags
