Watched 'Pontypool' tonight based on this post alone. I had forgotten everything about it and was acting on impulse. The whole thing was thoroughly impressive and I'd love to watch again and dive into the details. How they managed to keep talking among themselves and avoid the viral words was disorienting - wondering if it added up. Great, great twist on the infection genre for my linguistic mind.
^HA... good to know... I am probably going to give it a spin this wknd... I’m fuckin’ PISSED at Netflix today; last night, the wife and I sat down to watch the next ep in S4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and the season is simply gone (only S1 and S2 remain up)… we had five episodes left… it'd be nice if, when you clicked to watch, they gave some sort of heads-up banner within a certain timeframe, when it comes to series they are considering removing.
Thanks for the heads-up! I'll watch it this weekend, because we're canceling our NF account next week.
Watching it TOO much. Being a naturally lazy person, it's keeping me from doing various creative projects. Ditto for my wife. So last weekend we decided to cancel, hoping that not having anything to watch will spur us into action. We're blowing through Breaking Bad S5 (?) this week before it all goes away.
was so excited to finally see this and I could not for the life of me stay awake! Very pretty but goddamn is it boring. People usually tell me the films i love are boring, I can't imagine what the normal movie goer would think of this
Yea, I tried not to fall asleep so instead I just got distracted browsing random shit on the internet. Man, I was really looking forward to this movie but I can't help but feel disappointed. The trailer made it seem so much more awesome. I mean, visually, I fucking loved it...but the story couldn't hold me at all. Just so slow and prodding. The soundtrack was pretty amazing though.
Agreed on Black Rainbow. I might try it again, because other than the story it was pretty great - ha!
I just noticed American Horror Story is listed. I don't have cable so I began watching it and I really like it.
Thanks for the reminder. It was great. I never knew Lance felt that way about being on the team. And watching the Mullen footage made me remember how I thought his skating was silly when watching those vids back in the 80s. Little did I know then what an influence it would be just a few years later.
I'm huluplus people now, dropped Netflix a while back, but that still counts, right? Midway through Color Me Obsessed: A Film About the Replacements. Pretty great so far. The weird part is at 56 minutes in there hasn't been a single note of music.
Todd & the Book of Pure Evil was added to netflix recently. It is funny and you should watch it. Yes that is Jason Mewes as the janitor.
2nd on Todd and the book of pure evil. Unfortunately it was not picked up for a 3rd season. Bones Brigade doc is great, they could have done 2 hours on just Mullen. The only confusing thing was the inclusion of Fred Durst and Shepard (Durst of the art world) Fairey 7 seasons of Its Always Sunny are up, that's always good to kill a few hours Videogame High School was also enjoyable. It was put together from a Internet mini-series by Rocket Jump
Yeah I'm not a fan of Fairey as an artist but I guess he did some skating back in the day. Durst though.. When he came on I went PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTT out loud.
