I know many of us here also collect art prints. Lately I've been hunting the new breaking bad artist series prints. Curious to hear what other have been into. Today I was able to snag this guy and I'm stoked ! http://admitwhatyoudid.com/bg/awud/ Aside from the "better call Saul" this is my favorite so far. So let's hear it
I buy a few prints here and there, running out of wall space and I'm now building up my poster tube collection Here are the last 2 that I bought...
Not sure if I should post this here or in the Stoner thread. Available today at 1pm PST. http://omgposters.com/2012/07/06/sleep-poster-by-david-dandrea-and-arik-roper-onsale-info/
I just want to say how much I want to stab Mondo in the face for always releasing prints when I am asleep or just waking up. Nice prints people!
I've never yet managed to get one, can't afford the bay prices either, I would love the akira poster and drive
I buy a bunch of prints from a variety of artists. I'm a huge Biskup fan for both art and toys and recently got a long time want when I found "beatnik band" at an awesome price. Now I just need to get it framed.
I've actually been meaning to start a thread like this... I love art. I'm way more willing to spend big bucks on art than toys. It feels sort of safer as an investment - which is a great way to justify my purchases to myself (and to my wife!). I recently had those framed: Daniel Danger from the Rotofugi exhibit, a Scott Campbell from Nucleus and one from the Twin Peaks show, an Edwin Ushiro print, a Jon Klassen and a Floaty original that he gave us when we got married (which means it did take me five years to frame it...). Also finally displayed those properly: I, like many, suffer from the buy-too-many-prints-and-never-frame-them syndrome...
Thanks! Love your Rangeas too. I remember seeing them drop... I have a small Soto wood print from the series he's doing now. I have to say this unlimited run, totally affordable format is great. Kudos to him. Now if I could find a Duel print at an ok price...
i have a shitload of prints, art banners and skatedecks I've just taken down to the framers but I'm really unsure about the layouts. We have huge wall-spaces. I'd like to see some people's set ups as well in this thread. There's some small pics with some areas already but you need to see the whole wall to get an proper idea. In the past on sb I've seen some amazing layouts in the background of people's collections! I have my centurion print as a giant 6ft banner as a centerpiece but I have crazy shit as well like shields that need to go up so it's hard to get a good idea of how to put it all up.
Stock image, because I still need to frame it properly (*sigh*): by Guy Donnelly On a side note (and since I strongly suspect I might not be the only one here who ordered it) - has anyone received the Sleep print yet?
Picked up this print of Buster from Arrested Development. Even if I didn't know what it was I'd like it, plus if someone doesn't know and comes over they'll just think it's some weird shit, which is cool too. http://www.etsy.com/listing/106112538/im-a-monster
If there was one print i'd want, it would be Tyler Stout's Blade Runner. I gave up on Mondo prints after scoring his Empire Strikes Back print. I damn near had a panic attack ordering that print when it went up.
I like some of Mondo's stuff but really I'm not a mega fan. I prefer weird Itallian, Polish or Japanese posters from a lot of the movies they do. They're super nice quality but for me not worth the BS. Death Waltz (I swear I don't get paid to plug them) has some nice Zombi 2 prints up now too. If I didn't have a 3 year old daughter who'd be scared by it I'd order one. There are some artist proofs too if you want to be real fancy. http://www.deathwaltzrecordingcompany.c ... lee-print/
