I have a micro version wearing pants that I picked up at D-Con last year also. He's just got such a great face! I have no idea who makes him though, the writing on the foot is too difficult for me to read (raw vinyl translucentness and my bad vision combined)

Picked up this Lion Chen x PLT Coolie High today. It was lost in the mail for nearly 2 months, we were starting to lose hope when....BAM. Got the infamous USPS slip. Pretty happy with this goofy guy.

Regret continues to sink in over not grabbing a couple of these.

Also rolled the dice on some blind Inu Harigon's and scored white (one I was hoping for), black, and pink (same plans with this one ;)).
The blind pulls, reasonable price and fast shipping scored Roto high marks in my book. Positive experience all-around.
This latest release in the unfortunately-acronymed series is the best to date methinks.

What a nice batch of toys you landed there Doug! A great mix of wonderful vintage and modern, classic Tsubu and neo 'kaiju' characters. I am feeling a little pang of jealousy, it's true. :) I bet that fulfilling that Red King fantasy is something indescribable; so often we have these deep wishes remaining from childhood, which could probably be satisfied putting our efforts to them, but to have them actually realised is another thing altogether. Happy for you man.

You know, those marked up pretties are actually my favourite of the bunch, as silly as that seems. I have a deep appreciation for 'loved' toys, so while a lot of them might be looked at as 'junk' or ruined by nearly everyone, I am very happy to continue to give them a very loving home. The sharpie treatment was more than likely done by a child playing out their imagination, and I appreciate them as such. There was another giant Ultraman up for auction not too long ago I was also eyeing for this very reason (better pics have been pulled now, but this gives you some idea):

So I especially love that Jack you got, always been a fan of the figure and need one myself. Sadly I didn't win the above Ultra, but anyways, just to say, these toys have a place too (even if it is just with fools like myself). Not sure what your plans are for the customising exactly, but if you are planning on just stripping these down, I think a few of us vintage collectors might be interested in how the marker reacts to various treatments. There isn't much out there for successful removal of such (which is why almost no one wants these marked up fellas, unfortunately), but the chance to experiment on some toys that will be 'ruined' [sorry, not the right word, but you know what I mean] anyways is welcome, and might provide useful insight.

Ugh! Nice toys, but I find the "graffiti" so distracting! :x If you do plan to repaint them, I would be very curious to see the result. Perhaps a restoration with the same colors? It would be very interesting to see if you could duplicate the factory production colors, if you are planning to go that route. Please keep us updated!

^ I fully recognize that the rest of the row is exciting, but grats on landing the very best of Marmit's many Baragons - best release, too!

Oh I'm well aware. I'm nostalgianing(sp?) on the TMNT but I've had the Baragon next to my bed the last few nights lol. Light green sofubi on dark green makes delicious emerald with pink highlights, yum. I'm glad you like it because the second I saw the thumbnail I was all in, something told me to capitalize on the low price.

@Shiverbones Argh, great buy on that nodder set! Remains a big want for me, and possibly my favourite of any of the 'neo' Medicom stuff. Someday I hope to connect with them. So much character in those classic characters, and an ideal thing, in my mind, to reissue but make different. Great scores all in fact. Moog's photo shows just what a delight that plant monster can be.
