@useless toys My first betta lived three years, but died because I accidentally crushed him while transferring him from the tank on cleaning day. Second was six months and just kicked the bucket with no warning. Current guy has been in office five months and seems good so far! I think they can live up to 10 years or more with proper care. Ironically, in terms of expense, the damn name plate costs more than the fish, but it's required by the U.N. Charter.
