Its Thanksgiving morning where I live, and I wanted to make a post about one thing I'm surely thankful for- This message board and the community here. Thank you. We're a crazy bunch, but it's great. I've met more then a few of you now IRL at conventions, (something I never did on other boards).. And I've made some real friendships, long distance and local and I'm especially thankful for that. Anyways I hope all our American members have a good holiday with their loved ones today, and even if you're not American- you can still join in and have thanksgiving today too if you want. thanks Skullbrain, thanks Super7, thanks everybody who's helped me out in one way or another over the years!
I'm thankful for this community as well. I LOVE the toys, but some of the friends I have made are equally if not more special to me! Thank you skullbrain
Well it's not my Thanksgiving, but I can definitely appreciate the sentiment, and concur. I am thankful Skullbrain is around, for the wonderful folks I have met through it, and the invaluable knowledge I have gained from it. Virtual and otherwise, I can honestly say that this small community has meant a fair bit to me, and I would be in a different situation altogether if it weren't around. So thank you to you, the members, the whole S7 crew for making it all possible, and the special thanks to all the folks who have helped me out with advice, toys, or just general conversation - all griping aside, you're a great bunch of people.
you both summed it up nicely. all i can offer is, I am also thankful, for the friends I've made and have yet to make. ive been on other forums, but skullbrain, its special. its the real deal. and its the only forum i am actively on now. ...this place rules and so do all of you.
I am thankful for this place as well. it has opened my eyes and given me an appreciation for toys and artists that would never have appeared on my radar otherwise. my days of hoarding chinavinyl are behind me, sofubi for life.
Thankful for the all great members. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. For those traveling, be safe.
I'm thankful for the amazing people I've met here online, even the prickly pears. I think the community has bred more than just a desire for fine Japanese vinyl, it's also opened the door for friendship. I'm also thankful, for the members of this community, that are actively designing, and making toys, and sharing their wonderful brainchildren to the members of SB. Thank you to Brian Flynn, without you this site wouldn't be possible, and I think 99% of us can't thank you enough, in my life your success with Super7 has been a true inspiration, and although there are imitators, there's one thing they haven't been able to replicate. The soul that's put into every release. People always say that they put their heart and soul into something. Well guys, we can see it, coming out in our Ollies', and Joes', our Zollmens', and Greasebats'. Somehow you've found the key to creating the perfect toys, and because of that "We should always take the time to smell the Roses.", even if those roses are ready to have you for Thanksgiving dinner. Peace, and Goodwill to all!
i really love this board and all of you guys the things we share together are so great. Ive made some great friends on this board and had some pretty awesome experiences meeting some of you guys. So happy thanksgiving and what not but mainly just thanks.
Thanks to all you guys and gals for being yourselves. Thanks for sharing so much information and passion. Thanks to the toy makers who bring so much happiness to all of us. Thanks for being such an eclectic bunch of weirdos, the best kind of people!
Happy Thanks to everyone! Here are pictures of our turkey which we have already eaten with sweet potatoes and cranberries. Sometimes we wear the turkey on our heads and dance around to amuse our guests Turkey range grown raw with stuffing Turkey cooked well done with stuffing inside Turkey cooked well done
Not quite myself these past few days so I'll keep it brief - Skullbrain is easily my favorite place on all of the information superhighway, not least of which because it hosts so many of my favorite people that I've never met. Thanks for the great information, the great conversation, the great toys and all all the random Whatever that dresses it all up. Don't know what I'd do without it. A special thanks to Linda for the turkey, although next year I'd appreciate if the stuffing had a little less cut flashing and packing popcorn in it...
i can't have all the toys I want ('how many toys are enough?', 'just one more' he said ) but being able to see photos of them in people's collections and being able to discuss them with this herd of shameless addicts makes me thankful for skullbrain
I like too thank atease, for accepting my apologise, for the whole la la gagga tread. He has shown true gentleman behavoir, and im proud too be on this board with him. I hope you get a good and blessing year atease! Peace
I love this place and all the hippies in it. I am so very thankful i stumbled on to this place. Hoping for many more years!
For just one day. Now its time to go back to the angry/secretive/elite world of Sofubi collecting..... Hey, that's my marbled, secret, email list, handpainted, variant release plastic toy! I'll cut you if you get it before me!
^ Hippies FTW! Thanks SB and all SB'ers! Among the many things that I am thankful for, such as my family, friends, good health, etc, I'm also thankful for being able to be a part of this great community, for the great friends that I have made and will make, for the amazing toys and information, for the tempting sales, for the incredible artists who create, for the companies that produce, for the stores/people that distribute all of the wonderful sofubi (and other items) that we love to collect, play with, share, and talk about. Thank you everyone! And I hope all of our fellow American members have had a very Happy and gut-bursting Thanksgiving!
