Tsk tsk Montreal. You can't win embellishing penalties, whining about non calls (which you more than likely embellished anyhow), and taking dirty cheap shots. No way in the world the Rangers will not win at least one of the next three. Good night to your season.
And there is no way Chicago is coming back either. Ever since LA scored that bucket load of goals in the 3rd of Game 2 it's been all LA. My teams out, but I'm loving this. Chicago looking all flustered, douchebags Kane & Toews not able to do shit. Even though the Rangers are still in my top 5 teams I hate I find them more tolerable now that Prust, Callahan, Dubinsky, Anisimov, Asham, Rupp aren't on the team. 1-2-3 hated are still Pens, Habs, Blackhawks. Who's the 5th? Toronto! (with maybe Vancouver tied for that 5th spot) Looking forward to LA-NY series final (and will root for LA).
The only original six not in your list is Detroit. Besides the Bruins, are there any teams you actually like? Or are they all just tolerable? I think LA looks unstoppable like they were two years ago.
Well it's more from a player standpoint than actual franchise for the most part. The only teams I've always disliked (no matter what incarnation) are the Pens, Habs, and Rangers. I did not mind Chicago back when they had Roenick, Larmer etc... back in the early 90's. Players like Kane, Toews, Keith, Bickell, Shaw, just so smug, cocky, and arrogant (same with Toronto with Kessel, Phanuf etc). Kane is a super douchebag and from Buffalo. So maybe a future incarnation of Chicago I won't dislike as much? Doesn't help that the Bruins lost to them in the finals last year. I love Detroit- class franchise top to bottom.
Embellishment in the game, whether it is regular season or post season, is just terrible and seems to be getting out of hand. I'd rather have the old days of clutch and grab.
Haha, definitely! Now to see if there will be more suspensions... Moore for sure, Dorsett... I don't know. What was that about him squirting kids at the beginning of the game (yeah, I know how that sounds...)?
I don't think Dorsett will get anything, Moore for sure, not sure about Eller. I like goals, so at least it was fun to watch. With the B's it's usually a defensive battle.
Weird topsy turvy game that is for sure. You would never think there was good goaltending at all in a game like that (there was) looking at the score. Oh well, just thrilled that Montreal finally got playing. I hope they can keep it up and lose the idiotic penalties and giveaways.
Well, it's a Twitter trend (https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p ... 34726.html). I suppose Habs fans will be ashamed, but won't go as far as calling him out directly. Sort of like Bruins fans with Marchand?
Ahh thanks for the link. That's hysterical. Yeah same with Bruins fans and Marchand. Although fans are torn on keeping him or trading him it seems. Funny side note: the Bruins have had 14 episodes of a mini documentary highlighting their season called 'Behind the B'. You can watch them on the Bruins site. Shows games with players mic'd up, behind the scenes, traveling (much like the HBO Winter Classic thing). Anyhow the very last episode (14) was this week and documented the series with Montreal. There is a scene where Bergeron is mic'd up and Subban checks him and bangs Bergy's head. Bergeron says "Come on man don't do that!" to Subban and his reply was absolutely hysterical: *feigning innocence* "What did I hit your head?" Bergeron : "You know you did!" Subban: "I'm sorry man I thought you were Marchy!"
Well guys we now have something in common. Both our teams are gone. That rookie goaltender for the Habs was something else though. Gave them a chance. So who is NY playing? LA I hope.
Yeah, it is a tough feeling, but one any real fan is used to. Happy to have made it this far. Notice no Leaf fans come on here - that is tellin' ya somethin. Such a close game to, and after a series that could have easily went either way and went through so many momentum shifts. Ah well. Yeah, massive thanks and respect is due to Tokarski for stepping in (and up) like he did. I don't really have any preference in who I want to see in terms of LA or Chicago. Probably LA, because I too have a dislike for a lot of the Chicago players, and the fact that they recently won the Cup.
I can't be too bummed about this: I'll get some of my evenings back + I never thought we'd make it there in the first place. Great revelation in Tokarski. Great disappointment in Vanek. Great potential in Bourque. Will be a great 14-15 season, if Lucic doesn't kill too many of our players.
