Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) that flow chart is the truth. saw it earlier today. kudos for the guy who made it.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) The graph is pretty spot on but Im with Devilboy, the debate was a bore. Biden may have slightly squeaked out and edge but I think they both did what their party expected. It was so uneventful it boils down to nit-picking of winks, lingo, lip flair and white teeth.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) I'm watching a lot of debates lately. I watched part of this one. I always feel akward when I see people saying "god" a lot, like it was someone rigth beside them, it's disturbing. (As with seeing christian music section at USA Wall-Mart - WTF ! ) It's scary to know that your leaders still beleive in their imaginary friends.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) At least - here, it's kind of taboo to speak so outloud. believers keeps to themselves. We where so fucked by the church before that now, the hate is on.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) Yes he could have easily ripped her a new one but he showed a good deal of restraint by not doing so. If he did go all out on her the Republicans would capitalize on his "bullying" and milk the hockey-mom-stand-her-ground-thing to the hilt. Big bad Biden etc etc.. She's already pandering to her home base by dumbing down and being folksy can you imagine the reaction of her base if his debate was a notch above aggressive? I was thinking his restraint was a strategical decision because if he did go all out on her, Biden would appear the condescending bully. As exposing her for a retard he didn't really have to work that hard. I think Palin is her worst enemy and her repetitive and slogan like responses to questions just convinced me that this woman is not ready to be in the second highest seat of our country. Palin being a heart beat away from the presidency is unsettling.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) That sounds like a teen angst sound bite you could here at your local mall between the food court and a Hot Topic...
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) No teen anst here. I'm almost 40.. I just don't master the english writing langage to enter in a long diatribe about it. I hate all form of religions. It's the downfall of mankind. I'm not the only one in adult-world here who think like that, it is the majority. As of this year - catholic cours are forbiden in public school. Crucifix where tored down in puplic place ,and so on. I live a 45 minutes drive from New-York state. I go more than often (we don't have Sam's club here...) and I find it disturbing to see that fate is put behond anything else. That's all. I've been to Italy, Poland and other countries that have a big religious background and found that it was not such a big deal than in USA.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) From SNL last night. Not nearly as funny as the Couric parody, but has its moments. http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/ ... en/727421/
Deregulation, Phil Gramm, and why we're fucked. No McCain Here are some clues to why we're fucked (I know the keating video is sponsored by Obama but you get the point): http://keatingeconomics.com/ And this fun little article in Buffalo's Artvoice on John Mack and Phil Gramm: http://artvoice.com/issues/v7n40/crude
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) I will sum up the debate for anybody that missed it last night
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnFTatCp ... ideo-shows hehe
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) Funny! Thanks, I'm gonna have to share this... (you will not get royalties or credit)
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) I confess, I'm oddly aroused by this. It has a little bit of everything. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u154 ... -Palin.jpg
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) This gave me chills. http://bloggerinterrupted.com/2008/10/video-the-mccain-palin-mob-in-strongsville-ohio
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) Yea, my roommate was just watching that. It truly is sad to see how stupid people are.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) Edit: OK my attempted joke just didn't come out right. I really can't see this type of ignorant reaction happening in Asia. McCain is claiming Obama to be a terrorist because he has no more ammo left to fight with and instilling fear, terror and the unknown about Obama to his supporters. Palin and McCain just seem like a simpler and predictable icon for people to relate to especially for the non black community. Btw, I saw on YouTube of the latest McCain commercial. Obama as friends with terrorists? How is Obama going to explain himself out of that one if it's true?
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) Easy, he should say that at least he isn't friends with this douchebag:
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) McCain looks like he's deeply breathing in Bush's man-musk. "it's intoxicating...."
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) The video is funny but you know if some guy came up to me with a camera I know I'd say worse for on either party for a sound bite. I mean seriously, some people are saying "I never heard of Obama, ever" and the casual "Yeah, he's a terrorist" Funny ass clip though. You look for trouble, you will get it, Look for a specific answer to a question long enough, you will get it. There are fringe elements on all sides and within every party, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green whomever. The real question the bases are asking is the character question, Obama through his circle such as ACORN, Ayers and Rev. Wright, and McCain via the Bush administration. No significant amount of people seriously thinks Obama is a terrorist though.... well maybe on an economic level Ahhh sound bite politics
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) saw this yesterday. i'm surprised that the camera man didn't get hurt.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) Eh, he could have gone to a Biden rally and found just as many ignoramuses.
Re: McCain picks Palin (and other election discussion) I'm not even sure most of these people are ignoramuses, seems like a lot of then are answering a loaded question like any smart ass... Of course they had to extract these out of probably hours or even days work of footage to get just this. Notice any challenges on the issues in the videos? Obviously not... I would love to see the Obama/Biden one...
