I think the question might be is Skullbrain going to chase another artist/collector with a deep knowledge of sofubi and a collection that puts most of us to shame? If you want to have a pissing match because hes "famous" fine but I'd rather have Coops knowledge and photos than a bunch of noobs playing "Whos more hardcore".

This is the same shit that happens on EVERY message board. A handful of shitheads come in and draw dirty pictures on the walls and stuff the toilets with paper towels, so no one else wants to go in.

andy's one of the few around here that actually keeps things lively and fun. just because you're angry at one idiot, don't piss on everyone else. also, please don't stop posting photos of your collection — that would be a great shame and loss to this board.

The question here really has nothing to do with chasing away an artist, which was never the intention. The problem we've exacerbated here is that most of the posters here are incapable of holding an actual conversation about both good and bad aspects of the toys they are told to like. Andy and I might have been starting off with a friendly jab, but it was immediately taken as a personal affront and resulted in just basic name-calling, which is lame. I and others would be thrilled to actually have a conversation using real words between the people that like this toy and how it's been run and the people that don't. I understand that there are appealing aspects of this toy (besides the e-peen), and there are also unappealing aspects. The fact that we can't even have a civil conversation about both, and maybe come to some further understanding on both sides is what's really a shame. When confronted with a comment full of thought and full sentences, the majority response is a group of fanboys crying foul of any negative opinion, or the leading source we have on this toy having a spaz attack and further driving people away.

This pretty much sums up the harassment I received the other night. Try as I might, there's no discussion to be had, which is a shame.

This thread is 108 pages long. There's been plenty of discussion. The same hype and controversy theories have been popping up every page since page 5. The problem for me is this...

Speak your mind. People will read it if they want or ignore it. Maybe they'll agree disagree or change your mind. But people keep coming back and repeating their negative thoughts on the Nag. And to genuine Nag fans, we heard you, we've heard you every time. We disagree, you won't change our minds, we're here for the aesthetics of the toy. Apply your energy to something you're into. Discuss, disagree, argue, just know when the good fight is over.

i dont even like the toy but it has this kind of "beautiful tragedy" quality to it and that i do like. coop i think your collection and picture skills are 100%. im not into the politics here just a comment from a noobie.

I really don't get why people hate on this sculpt. You really have to see it in person also that goes with mr nags paint skills. Maybe its to do with Japanese folklore i can really imagine it in old ukiyo-e prints.

It's really not the sculpt most hate, it's the hype. BUT spitting out antihype is the same or more potent then hype really. I hate that these go for so much on eBay, it's crazy, and it's really only the same 3-4 dudes actually paying that much.

Some also think it was only made to make money off of as some evil scheme (like the dudes really banking on these?) and some think all sorts of other weird things like there's some illuminati action going on. Very little of the hate seems to be on the actual sculpt, but some is like all toys. Plus this thread is nuts, it's 90% complaints and arguments and 10% toys (I'm being liberal.)

Honestly I think it should be cut off or put in "Whatever" since it's not really about the toy but rather how different brands market their figures, flipping, the idea of hype and other shit and start a new thread just about the figures.
