What's interesting to me is that it was originally listed at 99 cents and nobody bid on it. This new auction started at 99 cents and then took off with a $100 right out of the gate. Maybe people just aren't accustomed to searching for Nags there.

 

Hmmm... I didn't see that. I never search for 'Nag' or any other parsing of it, I always notice them when I'm morbidly looking at Bemon or Anraku auctions.

 

I think I can guess who the "winner" was in 3 or less attempts. There's only 2-4 guys paying this much for Nags and have been from the start. It's not out of "hype" or anything, it's out of being lazy and not wanting to wait for the shot at one down the road, and in some cases to be used as trade bait for "bigger game."

I think the NYCC 2 Facer is killer, glad Carl got 1 at least.

 

For someone who's mainly naive as to what new stuff is out there, what's the "bigger game?"

And in a year (probably less), that $1000 nag isn't going to be worth nearly as much, whoever it is sure has money to burn.

 

I don't think that's a real game.

 

Early Anraku or HP Bemons, "bigger" totally needs the " on it, sorry. But then these auctions certainly help Nag get that kind of pull. You're after something, you bid up on something else new to nutso prices, people think that's its "value" and now what you just bid up is nice trade bait. I don't think there was any in depth planning in this, but it's worked out that way.

That game would scare the hell outa kids, I wish they'd make it.
