I think the Nag Balls might cost more simply because of the packaging (tin can) and tiger mask.

The Nagball masks were made by someone in Japan who makes real luchadore masks for wrestlers. From what I gathered from Shigeru, they were expensive to make.

But whatever, no one on Skullbrain is happy until they can B I T C H about something.

Says the one who B I T C H es about naysayers constantly. The mask isn't worth quadrupling the cost of a 3 inch piece of plastic from 150 to 600 even if it was sewn by Ghandi.

Says the guy who spent aftermarket on a BG and still thinks that the balls are priced insane. Are there diamonds rattling around inside each one?

I could somewhat understand why the masks would be expensive to make and why that affects the price of the nag balls. If its high grade quality (which i'm sure is what shig wants in all of his work), materials can be very expensive..

So much negativity. Can't we all just. . . get along?

Back to subject, any pictures of the Nagball without the mask?

Bottom line is that Mishka is acting as the gallery in this sense and there is a gallery mark up.

Was the blank the "surprise release" or was it a giveaway from shig? Congrats to whoever scored it! (I hope its someone cool from the boards)

I'm pretty sure that triple the price should raise a few questions, in general. I also hope that a prankster who stamps "fuck the USA" on the foot of his toys could take some sass

2000 because he hired a guy who makes staples in Japan to make the staples that keep the bag closed.

I actually quite like that 4-eyes. The nice colour makes up for the fact that it is unpainted, which usually I am not that into. Would have loved to have a raffle chance at this guy; I much prefer it over some of the other releases. Oh sorry, back to the drama.....

    Yes more about this?

A Mishka release is always going to cost more, the money is being split up in so many different ways, The mask looks great I'm sure it cost a ton to have someone custom make a handful of them. That being said it's too much for me but with people paying the prices they do on ebay, someone has the money. At least this money is going to the artists.

Re: A Nag Pa I Root

Hi. I like Nags. I'd love to own one some day. I won't pay flipper prices. I think it kinda sucks that some people buy with the intent of profit rather than for the desire of actually owning it. It happens with almost any collectable tho... Our market is just so niche that it's easier to complain, rather than to accept that that's how it tends to be. I understand the Mishka "gallery markup", but couldn't justify it within my own personal budget. Even "reasonable" aftermarket prices are too hefty for my wallet. However, if I were making 5X the salary I am now, I'm sure I'd find a way to justify spending 5X more than my current max. If I were to personally spend that much on a toy, you can be damn sure it'd stay in my collection, and thusly not inflate the market price upon resale. It's all relative.

I could give a rats ass what that Nag over there sold for, and I could give a rats teet what that dude over there spent on a Nzombi. If it's not my toy, and it's not my loot, then I won't give any parts of my rat.

Still hoping I win an auction one day, or that karma works it's magic and someone hooks me up close to retail. That'd be fun! ;)

...Never understood the drama in this thread.
