Yo BASKers, I'll be in SF late May for a couple of weeks and was wondering what you guys considered the best -not to be missed- vinyl shops. i'll have a car and a couple of days to kill... any help finding the not so well known shops would be greatly appreciated. Might even be rolling around in a Ruckus. Let me know, Thank you!
Re: Best Toy Shops in SF? most of us hang out on Saturdays at K!d Robot on Haight. meet us there around 11am. If you get there early, ask Robert behind the counter where are all the Japanese Toys cause they keep 'em all in the back. see you there.
Re: Best Toy Shops in SF? Have you met the Mayor of Krotch Rot? He is very generous, thoughtful, insightful and informative. I bet he can tell you exactly where to go. Just make a thread under American Idols in the Krotch Rot section asking just this question, cause you may be a little out of place, believe it or not, in the BASK section. Hope this helps!
Giant robot is a distro stores so you may find things there that are sold out at S7. Aside from that, S7 is all there is here in Bay area with Kimono closing. BUT I say you check out billy galaxy in portland/
ok, if I were to make a trip to SF, here are the stores i'd probably hit: 1. Super 7 2. 1-2 Japanese toy stores in the mall in Japan Town 3. Heroe's Club on Clement St. 4. Ningyoushi in North Beach 5. Giant Robot near Haight 6. Upper Playground (streetwear) lower Haight 7. Kimono My House in Emeryville. call first 8. Things from Another Planet - Metreon downtown 9. Cards and Comic Central on Geary St. in SF Here's an old and out of date guide to Anime Stores in the Bay Area http://www.koyagi.com/SFshopping.html
Kirkland - You need to delete 7 & 8 from the list as they no longer exist as storefronts. ToysRus is good, but you may have to drive to Hayward.
