^ I actually kind of do too. I want to recommend a band I just started listening to, Aldaaron from France. Their newest album, Suprême Silence, was recommended to me & I liked what I heard so I ordered that on ebay. I also ordered their first album, Nous Reviendrons Immortels, off ebay. I haven't got Suprême Silence yet, but I have already received Nous Reviendrons Immortels & it's fucking awesome. Ton's of great tremolo picking & melody. Check them out.
so who here has heard this? Fucking amazing! Track 3 convict all flesh may be one of the greatest songs of the genre. If people weren't talking about them before, they will be now! can't wait for the vinyl release
Got the latest Burzum a few weeks ago. I still don't know what to make of it. I guess I'd like it more comming out of another band. It's weird.
I've got it on the way from Profound Lore, but haven't checked it out yet. I also can't wait until Profound Lore releases their 1st album on CD. I know that goes against the norm here, but I'm a CD guy.
Just got this in the mail today. Great change of pace, it's quite excellent. Not really black metal, but I would say the heaviest influence is black metal. Ton's of great violin throughout, which I am not usually fond of, but it works very well here.
I didn't really know where to post this, but... <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Shocked\" />
^^^ When did Godflesh get back together? Anyone else listen to Stargazer? They have an interesting bass sound; kind of overdriven and compressed. It's almost 'jazzy', for lack of a better term. It's also full of zazz.
^ Stargazer is great, they were supposed to play at Rites of Darkness last year, but due to the fiasco they couldn't make it. I was super bummed about it as they were definitely one of the top acts I wanted to see. New Kawir out later this month. The track they posted on youtube sounds phenomenal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5P_NUiyDWg
Vice's Noisey released the first installment of their One Man Metal video. Seems pretty interesting, covering Leviathan, Striborg, and Xasthur! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQl6PzXU4cQ
Shit, I wish I had seen that while I was watching Vice stuff just last night. Oh well. Definitely checking it out later, thanks for the heads up!
wow. We need some medals over here, that Jeb Thurmond dude has tons of cool achievements; 'child rearing award', 'ex-masturbator'? damn, those are some swell medals.
overall horrifying look at horrible humans what about the shaking fist also known as the "tell her once" award feel the love of Jesus quite a handy list for when my child grows up.
This is demencia And what the hell are those banners He's King of Denmark, man. but living in fuckin' Texas !
Fuck Baptists. Hope no one here is one of them. Just got these two in the mail this week from Prophecy Productions, both are great. Dordeduh is the project of Hupogrammos and Sol Faur after leaving Negură Bunget.
One Man Metal Part 2 is up! Also, I originally posted this in the Stoner/Doom thread, but I suppose it fits here better: I'm pretty sure I have posted this before, maybe not, but it's so fucking good and I forgot about it until just now -- FALSE - Untitled. Pay $0 and check it out, buy the 12" if you like it as much as I do. They've also got a split with Barghest that I still need to check out myself. Bonus link: Barghest - Untitled LP, name your price. Basically, Gilead Media rules.
I dunno if any one else has been following this but Scott (aka Malefic of Xasthur) is set to release a non-black metal (dude even puts a warning message on the facebook saying it is not a bm project ) album from his new project Nocturnal Poisoning. I wonder how its gonna turn out.
I am actually pretty surprised he agreed to do the OMM thing. I'm sure he might have some regrets about it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t53E-u0U5rI made me think of this. I love heavy stuff as much as the next guy, but this was funny.
