I love these characters and their disgusting/offensive nature of the PP universe is so out there it is a part of their charm, but I totally agree explaining them to the general public or unitiated masses has no doubt raised more than a few eyebrows.
Could we maybe get a shot of Herpes that's straight-on, rather than top-down? I'm wondering if the angle of the shot is making his head look bigger than it is.
Herpes looks awesome. Hopefully I can score on on the post SDCC sale and track down a Fuckface one day.
Thanks to my mule in SDCC, I scored oily black CF and Rottweiler Herpes in a "I got herpes" bag! Wohoo!
Hope everyone is casting more than a couple votes for CFF this year! (yeah, yeah, designer toys, but c'mon he rules!) http://designertoyawards.com/node/1232/vote
He's very cool. I think he would have more charm if his proportions were tooled to be more like the comic version: Slightly smaller head and mace, slightly larger belly.
^ Thanks Nate or Maddie! I actually had a friend grab one for me and got it in the mail a few days ago. I thought that the proportions seemed a little incorrect before I got the figure in-hand, but I think he fits perfectly with CFF!
The proportions are exactly as Johnny intended them to be based on the new turnaround drawings he did. If you look at fuckface in the book the vs the cover ,proportions are completely different.
Didn't mean to sound like RH looks off at all - I think he looks great! I'll try to get a side-by-side shot of the two of them together soon!
I really dislike toys that try to imitate their 2D counterparts too precisely. All sculptures, whether it be toys or just art, should always be thought as original pieces, not just 3D presentation of 2D image. In worst case some toys are just miniatures of their life size equivalent. For example what Hot Toys does. To me those are not toys or sculptures or art, they are miniatures that you can play with... There's nothing wrong with that and I can respect the skill it takes to produce those, but in the end they are just miniaturized copies of original art. Cannibal Fuckface is one of my favorite toys of recent years. The sculpt is perfect. The amount of detail and the paint... perfect. There probably has been quite a few compromises in the production to be able to create a 3D, articulated version of the character in vinyl, but there does not seem to be any traces of that. Johnny really seems to know what he wants! I can't wait to have my hands on Herpes. (sounds bit weird...) What I see from the pictures, I will be just as exited about him as CFF. Thanks for or producing such amazing toys.
I'm wondering if we will get "I got Herpes" bags with our figures if we didn't get them at SDCC but rather the Saturday sale on MW? Im guessing no which makes sense but would be totally cool to own.
Rottweiler Herpes looks great so far and just like the comic seems to have a wider chest than Cannibal Fuckface which to me make the proportions look correct and rad as shit!
Dude, edit your initial post if you have something else to add to it four minutes later. <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Cool\" /> <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Cool\" /> <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Cool\" /> <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Cool\" /> <img src=\"{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"Cool\" />
