andy, I found out that I wasnt right with my theory with all SECRET VERSIONS are nmbrd # on the back of the card... what I dont get is why some SECRET VERSIONS ARE numbered and say "special"...any clue on that ? Special color, special paint ,.....???
Anyone seen this auction for a Z bag? My eyes might be playing tricks on me but looks like they got secret version of everything? http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n56568217
I noticed that. One of the first to hit YJA yesterday. I imagine Naoki is sitting back enjoying all this.
I was looking yesterday! I must have missed them because I got home from work so late Are there similar for other figs, safe to assume? ohno!
Im assuming each sculpt will come in a SPECIAL series (out of the Secret-versions). But again, hard to tell, since just the Ankoron SPECIAL SERIES pics showed up by now.....
Not sure about that. I think Naoki was just having a ton of fun painting Ankoron. Just spotted a pic of another Dorome I hadn't seen. Brings total of verified unique figures to 25.
Holy shit! and I feel beaten about by RxH sometimes. You cronic geeks must be going bonkers. This is more stuff than Super7 had for its show. Good Luck and Happy hunting.
The total number of different figures from the Japan Lucky bags may be in the 35-40 range. If the Max Toy Cronic bags wind up being totally different from the Japan bags, while following the same allotment pattern, then we could be looking at 70-75 different LB figures total. In any case, Cronic has just blown the game apart. While leaving all would be completists in the dust...
Don't say that, I am still complete in a few RxH sculpts and only missing one figure in a few others. Anything is possible when you want to be complete.
If you're not concerned with one-offs, that's true, though it does take time. Being complete on newer Cronic figures is possible (since the production numbers are up), but Zyurai Asu and Maverasu are very tough. Many of the 2005-6 figures were made in runs of 3-10. I'm not complete on either of those figures yet, but I'm getting damned close!
I don't count 1 offs or lottery items. I only count prototypes and paint samples if more than one was actually for sale. The lottery we will be running for the yellow chaos presents a new problem. There are handful of them but it will never be for sale. I think it is the 1st lottery item with multiple auctions (figures) so I am not sure if it counts or not. I think it does count since we could have just sold them if we wanted to. In the end it is probably all nonsense anyway.
Only "probably"? I'm with you though - I don't even try for completism in the new RxH any more, just keeping up with the half-dozen of Mori's sculpts I already collect, plus filling in the older holes where I can, is plenty challenge enough. But 35-70 new Cronic items in one drop, with many of them in editions of 4? Makes me so glad I never got started ... So, a 'handful' of the yellow unpaint Chaoe ... There is some good news! Does this mean each store in the ICK (International Cabal of Kaiju, fka the Distribution Network) will have one yellow, and each one will run their own lottery? And, does S7 set the lottery rules for each store, or does each store get to decide how to run it (i.e., allowing online v. in-store entries, number of entries, etc.)? Looking forward to the full output of the Hype Machine through the rest of this week, once it gets past the break-in period and can be redlined.
Moving this back on track (there's an entire forum for discussing Real Head here - eh? ) should be interesting to see what happens when the Max Toy bags drop next week! (At least I hope they're out by then.) Personally I'm just targeting a few of the figures in the bags (in terms of trying to stay complete). I think if we pool our resources once everyone has his stuff, we'll be able to help each other out. I'll start by saying Maverasu and Zyurai Asu are my main focus characters. I'll trade any other lucky bag figure towards getting LB Zyurai and Mavs that I don't land. The gauntlet has been thrown down! ^_^
