^ Thanks! I'm so excited! I changed the pic though, decided that I had tweaked it too much in PShop, so I went back and re-edited it. Looks more like the actual thing now. Grody Shogun Painted GID Monster by James Likeness, on Flickr
Awesome!! looks the the GID/Nug release is starting to arrive at ppl's doors! the one you got is shweeet james. Hopefully i'll get my GID's soon. Only recived my Nugs and the 1st painted version.
Nicely done, TC - I kind of miss the old picture already, but this 2nd version still kind of puts me in the mind of Andy Gibb, circa '76.
My GID monsters just arrived also. These are my first monsters and I can't wait for the others arrive.
I am... trying VERY HARD.... to restrain myself... from jumping on the GS train... simply because my wallet needs no more Hoovering than it already gets from this hobby.... but every day... EVERY DAMN DAY..... you guys are here... and there... torturing me with these pics....
Same here Everyday I go to the wanted section to make a "Grody wanted" thread and then have to stop myself because NYCC is coming
I'm glad you guys are liking that shot! But I have to admit, I'm a little bummed that nobody's commented on what he's standing on. One of the absolute greatest of all time right there if ya ask me.
The clarity of detail on his head and face is literally mind-blowing, excuse me while I try to collect my gray matter from the floor. As for the other vinyl on the other hand, I guess I am not enough of a record-head to be able to tell what it is from this sharp angle.
Funny - I was just comparing Grody toys to one of my favorite bubblegum tunes, and was pleased by your vinyl standing on vinyl, but I can't tell what album you've got there on accounta the angle. Do tell. Edit: seems ultrakaiju just said that. oops.
The Dismemberment Plan's "Emergency & I." I think it's the perfect music for Grody. It can be spastic, and it can be cute, and it can be depressing, and it can be uplifting, and it can be loud, and it can be silly. But most of all it makes me want to dance. I can see all of that stuff in my little Grodys!
