Does anybody know what the inspiration behind the "BOOMY" fly/student figures from Goccodo is ?
Those manga and an anime that depict Japanese students like that, maybe. Yuyu-Hakusho.. But with a fly head?
River City Ransom meets The Fly.
Nah I really don't know, I have wondered too with all the variations..
for those that don't have IG, this was in Santa Cruz this past weekend:
There was also unpainted green versions of the frog. The apron is cloth and very well made. I don't know if other releases will have the apron.
nice! i want that black frog...
was able to get an unpainted and painted sumo frog this weekend at the show also a astro marbled
DIgging the sumo frog. Hopefully a fully painted Medicom run is on the horizon.
I was thinking of going to Santa Cruz over the weekend. Just for fun, so disappointed I didn't do it. If I'd only have known
Love that Astro marbled! What was the price on that?
The quality on the black frog's apron is top notch. It would be great if they continue with the apron but it does add to the price.
Loving how that pink marble reminds me of rainbow sherbert.
I was just thinking that. Its a tasty looking combination of colors that's for sure. Or how about cotton candy you get at the fair grounds? It can look allot like that as well.
The frog is great, especially with the apron on.
Yay! I won!
Does anybody know who sculpted the Kiaidaddy (Transformer inspired figure) from Goccodo?
So this has to be bar none the coolest RxH collab I’ve seen in a longtime. Let’s just forget the fact that Lemmy identified Motorhead’s music as punk, not metal as this is more about the toy itself than anything.
One of my favourite memories of Lemmy was when he guest hosted the 'Tommy Vance Friday Rock Show' on the radio and played nothing but Blues, Country and Soul music. He truly didn't give a fuck, ol' Lemmy.
Lemmy is pretty great but when is there gonna be a Lemmings x RxH collab... come on Mori pull ya finger out mate
So Goccodo has recently collaborated with major Japanese fashion retailer Zozotown:
I find the backstory behind the monochrome polka dot shirt to be the most interesting as it’s essentially a scaled replica of an article of clothing Zozotown’s customer base uses.
Why is it interesting? The clothing itself is skin tight. Customers download the Zozotown app and use it to take a photo of themselves in said clothes. Based on the distribution of the dots across their body, Zozotown is able to grab their measurements and sell them tailor made clothing. Pretty clever huh?
Him showing up to DCON was such a surprise.
I like this new head version and hand claws. Nice throw back to the classic Sci-Fi This Island Earth film.
