Obviously concepts like "the thrill of the hunt" was lost with the dude. Money can do that,,that and/or high exposure to mercury vapors.
What sucks is people are now going to buy them only to flip, making it harder for those of us that want them to get. We already saw that with the blue version, I barely got it and lots of people missed out on here. On the flip side, this is awesome for S7 and Josh so I have to say congratulations to them. Maybe they will do a secret release like the glitter hollis .
Both observations I agree with. Wow at the price. Just gotta be more dilligent when any Rose Vampire I like drops I suppose.

seems to be the nature of this vinyl collecting beast... what can you / we do about it...? if the item is hot people are gonna catch wind and fly in like a tornado to snatch them up just the way it is I guess... crazy to see people paying these prices but it truly is a wonderful toy and design can't wait to meet Josh in person for the St. Pete show...!!!
I was watching it through the final seconds. I had the winning bid of something around $87 until, literally, the last three seconds. Then the snipes came in so quickly the numbers were chnaging too fast to read what any of the interim bids were before it settled on the $255. My jaw just dropped at that point. I've been trying to get one since the day it released and they just kept slipping through my fingers. Now, at prices like that, I think I need to come to terms with never owning one. There's a little part of my heart that hopes, every time I go to Super 7, that there will magically be one there that somehow was missed and I get there just in time to buy it up.
This is super duper craz-o nuts. I will bet though, that if some one on this board ever decides to get rid of theirs, it will pass to another board member on the trade section for a much lower rate. At least I hope so. I think when it gets out of the confines of this group is when things get a little nutty. Luckily for us, when we released this figure, the people buying then wanted them for their collection, not to flip (as there was no reason to flip a toy) so they never went to ebay or secondary market, which I think is why you aren't seeing many there, and thus the cray prices for the few that have gone there. Hopefully we can mitigate the flippers a bit on the next release as well. Still, it hurts us all when the secondary market inflates to 10x retail price, as flippers jump in, making it hard for those who really want it, the secondary market gets flooded, which means that crazy prices like that can only come down, which makes things trend up and ultimately back down. I don't want to make toys that sell for 10x over on ebay, I want anyone that wants to buy one of our toys to be able to get one. 1.5-2x value over time is fine, anything more than that is nuts. And yes, Josh's entourage is getting bigger by the day. Dare I say, it is up to one?

I still can't get over those ebay prices from yesterday....unreal! One day I will have a Green Hell RV to add to my collection, but it looks like it'll have to wait a while now. Congrats to Josh and S7 for making some incredible toys

My advice to people still looking for this figure is be patient....we all know these prices are not sustainable over a long period of time. I would be willing to bet the person who bought this figure will sell it at a loss in the next couple of years. For what its worth, if you have $200+ to spend on Josh's work buy a painting. He has a show with Lee on Feb 13th at S7FL and a solo show here April 17th.
