I don't believe they've been shipped yet so it'd be hard for someone who bought it to say whether they liked it or not. No worries James, you'll find one!
I didn't even see them go up for sale; I must be slackin' these days. I was hoping to snag an Oji to match his killer Cadaver Kid.
i was on a train when he was selling them and i had to go through three tunnels before the transaction finally went through! and then i totally forgot i bought one until now.
Different words, same subject... Seriously, I don't really think you can accuse Luke of "Cashing in" on anything. I haven't bought any GS toys yet, because I'm just not a fan of the sculpts (Maybe it's something you just have to get in hand to appreciate), but Luke is traveling down every road you can imagine with his toyline. He's taking chance after, chance, and painting them in a D. Vader color scheme, isn't going to make people want these guys anymore than they already do (which if you haven't realized by the 146 pages of this thread, is a whole lot). Way to pick on something that's obvious, and pass by the small town biting, that's "actually" happening all over the toy world these days. *Disclaimer ALIT's is welcome to his opinion as much as you and I are willing to disagree, I've always felt him to be a swell guy.
Re: Neo Hawaiis Blanks came in not too long ago. I hoped these would be out last week, but the whole fam got the flu, so im 2 weeks back, they just need clear and they will be shipped... thanks for your patience!
why so uncritical??? i dont mind homages, great, but basing most colorways & toys on popular sought after designs by other artists seems more like a lame marketing driven concept to secure high profits, rather than a coincidence. good point. its toys, you can do what you want, its all about fun to come up with fxxking awesome creations to blow collectors away. why copy from someone else???
Who are you referring to with your "basing most colorways and toys" comment? I know it isn't Grody Shogun. 99% of Luke's color schemes have seemed pretty original to me. I like to see artists/ companies come up with original paint as much as the next guy. But, it's also nice to see some other influences come into play too. Shows a little of the artist's personal preferences and adds a little fun. Remember that thing fun?
That Boba Fett custom Monster is freaking awesome!!! (trying to divert the conversation back to toys)
I can't wait for my freakin Mucky Monster to show up. I think these delays are a subtle nod to other companies who have had delays. So unoriginal.
looking forward to a tara mcpherson designer paint app along with last minute price hike and fake charity auction.
For the record... I hate people... Also can't wait for Mucky, Army Man Monster, Heads, E Man...so many things will be coming at once!!
I'm really looking forward to the NYCC customs delivery. Yes, I went for tired unoriginal Waldar colorways - but I've collected those colorways for 36 years so suck it - but the one original colorway I managed to come up with is the one I'm really looking forward to. AGRODYINSANE.
YES! When are these due to ship out!? It will be the first and only grody in my collection and I can't wait!!! Luke seemed pretty thrilled on everyone's ideas when speaking with him at NYCC.
I recall a recent update in the Lulubell newsletter that indicated the NYCC pieces were being shipped soonish. Luke has been working on them between the various runs and wanted to ship them all together. Can't wait to see how they all turned out.
