Fair enough. At least I got to bump yr sweet shots! I just learned about the third TOMY set earlier today --- I'll be needing to find those sooner than later. Might as well bump your pics to page two, too:
The big shaggy Abura is by Nitto also. 1980, I think. Comes in a box with a wooden stand. Thanks guys!
Started off a Yokai collection with this pretty cool mini Daimon by Tomy (which i assume is the one in the above pic in front of the full size unpainted black) Will now be hunting-down lots of other Yokai . . . . . These collection pics are a great reference point

Does anyone have a breakdown of the Popy mini sets/variations? I think I have the more recent issue complete (from what is shown on the box) but there are also some others, such as the Kappa pictured, and the Daimajin in statue form which I am looking for (please PM if you have one!). I also have the 'majin in the more common blue, as well as a grey version. Also, in a completely unrelated, total random searching I stumbled across this wiki article, which I thought was hilarious (really, who came up with that choice for the photo, it's great). But on a serious note, I don't recognise this version of the kasa-obake, but I really like the extra detail, and the sculpt is much more 'menacing' then most other versions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasa-obake

Congrats on the score. I just finished my Yokai hunt last week - took years between my first and the rest but when it happened it happened quick! Good hunting to you!.
A new pair about to make their escape from the land of the rising sun, to set up new haunting grounds around the Great Lakes.
Forgot to post this photo i found on some Japanese guy's blog . . . . . a scan of the box for the Kappa - its weird - i cannot find any mention of the 3rd Tomy Yokai set anywhere on the internet . . . . . all that comes up are the first two sets . . . . I assume the 3rd set must have been produced in much smaller numbers (?)
