Gotcha. But when you comment on mine its usually meh or nothing at all. Regardless thank you for your kind words its much appreciated ! And although I do understand what your saying not everything I do will be this. Not because I don't want to or cant. I usually try to keep trying out different styles, mediums colors etc. And to do so you have to experiment. Some come out great some okay. As well some work is commission so what I want may not be what the collector wants. So when I go back and paint in a style or color that I'm familiar with it will be better and show. But I want to get better as a painter not a toy customizer so I will keep trying new things even when it gets lesser results or fans. Because I may see something in it that will help in the future. I want you to understand this and not think I'm trying to belt toys out. Nothing leaves my hands that I wouldn't mind owning. And no matter what I do I'm proud of it and want to show it to see what works and what doesn't with collectors, thats why I show off my paints. Not to brag but I fell one should be proud of what they do,believe in yourself and other will also kind thing. Also its really hard to take a proper photo. And even though I try some of my shots really cant show off how it looks in hand. So even though it may look lack luster on the monitor in hand you can see brush strokes, fine mists and speckles, things that make it special. Thats why most who buy customs from me usually get in touch to tell me things that had no clue when they saw it online. But thanks again everyone, and jesh I hope to keep up this level of quality. I cant post another custom for awhile as it may not live up to this Now we should let this thread die so as the bigaroid is next. It will be similar as its a set with this. I hope you guys like it as much as this. And I may not post it it might be a flickr thing only
brush strokes....hahaha...and you were hinting in my thread how I was becoming airbrush exclusive. Maybe I was doing it to pull you into the paintbrush world...heheheh...hahahaha...MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Little did you know bert but I was doing brush work all along Not a single figure will go out without some. Some more than others. Take a look at the madball mantis I did along time ago and you will see I was always just breaking your balls buddy I'm a brush user as well.
I've always liked that Madball Mantis custom of yours. It's one of my favorite SB sculpts of all time and that paint job really brings it to life. I was thinking just yesterday of how I would love to get a spare Madball Mantis and get a Two-Bad (He-Man villain) custom done. I am still missing quite a few of the production ones, so that will be quite a ways down the road, but I think it would be rad as shit. For reference:
That its EXACTLY what I was thinking when I saw this!!!! such a nice custom LASH, reminds me of a killer skunk. I have always liked the mold/powder effect you used on this shinto and the fighter head custom from last year. I want something in GID w/ this effect. the only element I dont like are the dots running along the jacket's cuff, but I like the yin yang mentality of this one.
