I'm Max, live in London and currently studying illustration at uni. Interested in getting more into production/making customs as well as improving my collection.

I've tried to curb my spending on toys under the guise of being a discerning collector but just through my initial browsing of the marketplace it seems that won't save my account balance for much longer now I'm on SB..

    Hey everybody:
New to the forum and just extending a hello, looking forward to getting some good trades going and checking out all the great collections. I'm knee deep in plastic here, all the usual kauiju suspects but especially old Godzilla. I also fill my collection with lots of 70's and 80's boy toys, oddball vintage girl toys (especially those cute little asian imported animals from the mid-century, awww...), a dvd, laserdisc and blu-ray collection that at one point topped 3,000 titles, and stacks and stacks of old sic-fi/fantasy/horror magazines. My absolute favorite toys to buy and trade are bootlegs, the weirder the better which is what lead me here. I contacted a few other kaiju fans recently in hopes of helping me identify 4 odd kaiju vinyl pieces and skullbrain was recommended so here I am.

Looking forward to spending more time here, thanks for the add James!

    Re: RE: Introductions

Welcome to the forum Megoguy. We actually have an introduction thread here. Take some time to read the FAQs, get familiar with the ins and outs of Skullbrain, and I am sure you will fit in just fine.

Another good place to begin, if you have been collecting for a while, is the Show Your Collection subforum. Sounds like you might have quite a bit to share there already! :)

Thanks for the help, I went to move it and it looks like someone (you?) already did. I didn't intentionally mean to start a new thread so thanks for the ups. YES, I am definitely going to post to the collections thread soon but I think my first real post will be these oddballs I am stumped on. Im going to search the index and make sure I post to the right thread though  ...

Hey Everybody! Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier, I have already introduced myself in my first post in the Fan Art/Customs forum. My name is Glenn and I am an illustrator from Brisbane, Australia. I collect by artist/designers involved, although I am a big Gargamel fan. I've messed around with Resin casting from 3D prints (a toy of the Cheese character from my comic strip.. produced in 2012) and I'm looking to make more toys later this year. Check out my stuff in the links in my signature. You can see my toys here

Looking forward to spending quite a few hours on these boards!!

Welcome BadTeeth. Hope the new toys you are planning fit in with the subject matter appreciated here on SB. And don't add to the clutter of western influenced, Jordans wearing/rattle can painted stuff that is infiltrating our little corner of the web lately.
PS: The Kidrobot hats and stuff pictured in your link aren't gonna help to further your cause with most here. ;)

Thanks melek! It's a tough crowd around here, please don't judge me by my photos. If there are any pizza haters on these boards, you're gonna HATE the photo next to it! Haha

Just to clarify, all I bought from the KR store was a WWT Be@rbrick and a Kaws keyring... I spent most of my money across the road in Super7 on Le Merde and Gargamel stuff. Do I have some street cred now??

Welcome to the boards Zach! I love your paintings and tattoos! Been following you for awhile. Next trip to Austin I'm definitely getting tattooed by you. What types of toys do you collect?

Hi everyone! I just joined earlier today. Real name's Victor, I live in Los Angeles and am a psychology graduate student. I started getting into vinyl via Junko Mizuno (who is still one of my favorite artists) but have somehow found myself skirting the Japanese toy scene, and hunting out all kinds of pink toys.

I joined because I'd been lurking for a while, and figured it'd be good to actually try to be a member, and actually try to contribute. My Eastern collection is pretty small, with a handful of Gargamel, Secret Base, and Super7, but I'm really interested in learning more and eventually adding a few new toys to my very small collection. Grad school ensures that my collection will stay small for a while.

    Thanks for letting me join.

Thanks for the welcome! I collect mostly models and vintage kaiju (when I can afford) as well as a handful of indy sofubi and anything else usually space or monster related. This board seems quite educational so hopefully I won't spend my savings seeing things I didn't even know existed.

Happy to finally be a member!
Had my membership waiting a year before I realized I needed to send an email to ask for approval lol.
So been lurking for a year.
I just purchased my first Blind Lucky Bag. Cannot wait to see what is in it. Definitely hoping for a Caveman Dinosaur and mini Vampires.
My name is Jared but usually go by J.R.
I have previously collected Honesukes mainly from Rotofugi when they get them in cause I have no idea where else they have them. And recently got into Konatsu Mamera and Migora.
I pretty much collect it all but definitely specific colorways or things that grab my attention.
I just graduated with my second degree and will be doing some combination of News Producing/Weather Anchoring. :)
