I'll need to ask my friend. Think he's reserved a couple of places. He's still deciding where he wants to stay.
you're just gonna have to keep constantly checking the site. some people will start canceling as it gets closer and they will most likely add more hotels, which they seem to usually do. but yeah, believe it or not, but pretty much the whole town gets booked up. I had a hell of a time the last couple years when I missed out on the day the hotel registration opened.
Don't worry too much... At this point, people have reservations, but they haven't paid yet. Later on, people will drop rooms when they find out that they can't make it, or their room mates made reservations at better hotels than they made. Keep checking in on the reservation site, and check again after July 10th... that's when people will lose a deposit if they cancel after that date.
Right on guys and gals! Thanks. If you know of anyone that bails out, give me a shout. Until then I am on the prowl.
Two things I have heard rumors about for this years SDCC: 1. There will be a party. Not nerdquake but something else is already scheduled. 2. Two well known posters are planning to get married at the convention. Its supposed to happen under the G sign in the hallway on Saturday. Nachos will be served.
Knowing the last minute nature of cons, does anyone have good intel on any events (signings, exclusives, appearances, trailers, etc.) this far out? PS I got a sweet hotel.
Looks like a party is brewing at the Best Western Yacht Horbor. Just book my rooms there also. ps; I don't drive so will be into the cab sharing thing.
