Thank you for the picture, I was wondering how the show looked. I was hoping to send more but just so busy these days and no time for myself.
These look really bad ass. I can't believe I missed the opening. I'm going to have to try to make it this weekend.
Theyre beautiful in hand, it was a tough choice between them to the point i almost wished they sold em blind. My first kumon an i think my first marbled toy, ill be very happy when this comes home in a couple weeks
This was my first Kumon, as well, though not my first marbled figure. I'm very happy with the choice I made amongst the bunch. This'll look great on the shelf when I get home tomorrow.
^ i wanted to get a second so icould do just that andy Before i saw these kumons and after all the meltdown vinyl at NYCC i was thinking mixed part marbled would be cool on a toy especially if there is one base color ie Black and then each part could have a diff color marbled in like one arm blue, one arm red, etc.
I feel the exact same way. If it's two colors, mixed parts I don't mind it so much. But three or more cors, mixed, throws me off pretty heavily. I love the Kumon I picked up.
Anyone have a picture of them all from the TAG show? More pics of the NYCC ones? I'm still confused on how those were sold or how many types there were.
From instagram about the TAG release: [ @ ] shirahamatoy At TAG in LA this weekend. 22 Mixed Up Marble. For NYCC, one released on each of the first 3 days, then 2 on the last day: Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Then there are possible one-offs or test pulls or possibly released at TAG that Dennis posted: Spoiler all from here: http://web.stagram.com/n/shirahamatoy/ and http://web.stagram.com/n/luluamy/
Damn all those marbled ones are so sick! Where they done on lottery? or lucky draw or something at NYCC? Or just straight up first come first serve?
I believe Amy at lulu twitted/IG each day when they went on sale and then it was first come. The only ones released at the Stange Days shot at TAG were the mixed marbled black, orange & white. Blog posts about the show had pics of various tie dye kumons and a lot of us expected those random one offs but i was happily suprised with the marbled mixed parts.
Thanks for the info! Stopped by TAG and picked mine up today. Amazingly the one I saw in the pics from the show that really appealed to me was still available. They had like 2 left I think but a bunch still there and not picked up so here are some pics of those along with details pics of mine. Quite honestly they are all amazing in person and I would have been happy with any of them!:
Theyre all still there because at the opening TAG said we couldnt pick em till Nov 6th!! (which i understand because they wanted to keep the display intact for the run of the show) Obviously thats not the case anymore and i plan on grabbing mine tomorrow if i have time. Thanks for the great photos dokuro, one of those is mine
Dokuroking, I just noticed you got #13, my favorite number! I got #4, though I didn't even notice there were numbers until after I bought it and looked it over at the hotel.
I was surprised to see it was #13 under the foot as I thought that one might move on number alone haha
