M1 Go just announced Giant Kanegon One blue one glow around 1,170 dollars. What do you think maybe I'll sell my Anraku collection for this one

US$1170 (117,000yen) sounds more reasonable (still waaaay out of my reach). Can't even contemplate what shipping costs are gonna be like. I'd love to own this 4 ft GID Kanegon and call him my friend.

If you buy the GID version you also get to choose the paint colour (one colour only). I would LOVE to own one of these guys too but shipping will be insanely expensive.

 

On top of that, M1GO won't sell it to anyone outside of Japan, so you will have to rely on an "agent."

 

How much do you think shipping would cost us? I'm assuming you'd want EMS not by ship

I got the email this morning too - and my first reaction was: how can I raise the money the get this Kanegon! Man, I want this thing so bad. In that youtube video, Coop talks about how hard it was to get one of these back in the day.

The price is actually not bad considering how freakin' huge this thing is. How many barrels of oil do you think it takes to make one of these?

It's about 4 feet tall. That picture is taken on the front stoop of M1GO's world headquarters, but there's nothing in it for scale.

 

Can anyone post or PM me more details? What's the time frame for ordering one, stuff like that.
