I'm a big Liddell fan. If a guys style is Kenpo, I'm in his corner. So I was bummed. Looked like Chuck was the better fighter for the duration of their fight. Just too eager to finish and Franklin took advantage. Can't take anything away from Franklin though. Fighting with that broken arm, damn, he wants another title shot that's for sure. I'm sad that will probably be Liddell's last fight in the UFC. He looked pretty good. Hopefully he'll move to Strikeforce or another league and keep fighting.

Liddell was pretty impressive offensively for sure, but one tap on his chin and it was light out!! He wasn't stunned or hurt, he was just OUT!!
If he could take a punch he should keep fighting, but he can't!

    Chuck did look pretty good.
I don't think many could have taken that particular punch and stayed conscious. It's not like he was hit with a jab and went down. The punch was short and had all Franklin's strength behind it. Plus Chuck was moving forward.
I hope Chuck continues to fight somewhere as well. I bet he still has some great fights in him.

The Last Emperor is no more! Bad strategy on Fedors part. Oh, also dude looked like he was in the worst shape.

I dont think Fedor has had any real tough fighters for ages now and I think he thought that he could not be beaten and you should never think its in the bag as anything can happen

I would love to see Fedor vs Couture, would be fun to watch

Fedor, Wow... there goes the chance of him facing alistair oversteem now...

but who am i kidding, with strikeforces poor management its more then likely that the fight never would of happened, even with a win.

I think Lesner will take it in the second, I think with him training with Randy he will do loads of clinch up against the cage with some dirty boxing then take Carwin down and batter him

Or Carwin will keep moving about and pick shots at Lesner as his stricking is probably better. Either way it's going to be a great fight for fans to watch

I also want Leben to win as well

Lesnar wants to clinch against the cage. He's going to have the same fate as Mir.
Carwin is taking this in the 1st. Heaviest hands in the UFC, he's going to throw some bombs and Lesnar is going to drop. In my opinion, Carwin is the most dangerous man in MMA right now.

Nonono! Both my picks tonight ( Akiyama, Carwin) lost! and they both had their fights sown up!

Also, any other fight the ref wouldve stopped if the guy runs away and then takes multiple undisputed shots to the face ala Carwin & Lesnar fight.

I don't know. Lesnar did a pretty good job of defending under that ground and pound-except for that big elbow that landed. And Carwin's fists slowed down quick. I was really pulling for Carwin to knock Lesnar out. Actually- I thought it was inevitable. But Brock really proved something tonight. He really is scary good.
And Joe Rogan is right. Leben is a zombie! Dude was out on his feet and still trying to kill.
But, for me, the most memorable moment came from Stephan Bonner. "You know I like to win ugly. And boy am I ugly right now." *cheesy, bloody smile for the camera *

Brock may have won, but he's not going to feel like a champ tomorrow.

All 3 my picks lost! I wasn't rooting for Stephan Bonner, but of course. ha ha.
I've got the touch of death for MMA fighters. If they are my favorite to win... they don't! ha ha.
I totally enjoyed all of them though. I wasn't actually really disappointed in any of them.

was a great event and I wish I had placed a bet on 5 fights as called them all this time where as last UFC I got most wrong

Lesner did well as he knew that Carwin would be gassed for the second so fair play to him, I think Carwin will have another shot within the year though and will have his cardio sorted

Leben fight was fight of the night for me as both fighters really went for it and you could see that they where both having fun

lets hope Silva will actually do something in his next outing as well, as thats only a few weeks a head

    Any thoughts/predictions on tonight's UFC?

I'm thinking Silva over Sonnen and Alves over Fitch, but I could easily see either going the other way.

Most disappointing end to a UFC pay per view ever. I was cheering my ass off every time Sonnen took Silva down. And just as I was thinking 'avoid the triangle for 2 more minutes' ... bam. Fuuuuck!

Me too! I accidentally dropped the F-bomb in front of my kid when Sonnen reversed Silvas take down in the 3rd(?) ! i was so excited. Is it shit talking when you say something and then do exactly that? Well, except for winning of course. Sonnen said he had no respect for Silva, and he sure fought like it. At first that worked in his favor but in the end he didnt respect silvas Ju-Jitsu enough to look out for the Triangle and arm bars silva was trying to land.
