Re: Mother: Now this is getting ridiculous! All I know is delays in a general release of Maza are messing up my planned sabbatical from collecting. My short to do list before I stop for a least 6 months was this: I had my one celga item shipped (3 days ago and still no tracking again of course- celga is on my shit list) done with them for awhile. Got the m1 beams glow hedorah, waiting on pre order for fox guy, try for a zudon & maza, maybe try an get a decent painted bemon- but not kill myself over it. That's it, the sooner all of that is done the sooner I can relax and use my money elsewhere (trips!) As far as this Maza goes I'd hate if I tuned out early and missed out on it, but I'm almost tempted to.

Re: Mother: Now this is getting ridiculous! Lucky for me most of my "most wanted wanted" showed up last spring and this fall. When I take off for a bit the only things I'd want someone to let me know about (because I'm going to try and stay off YJA also) would be that Purple M1 Lottery Gaira or some decently priced Painted Yellow Lucky Bag Matango. But since I have a better chance of winning a lottery then finding those I'm not too worried. Breaks are good.....I'll still pop in here though (but not try to be on it 24-7) It's going to be like trying to kick a crack or heroin habit though!

I was just saying that the way things are NOW, not in the good old days whether you were there or not...everyone finds out about this stuff at the same time. You had expressed that once you find out about it, research, start collecting a toy everyone jumps on the bandwagon and the "hype" begins...I was simply pointing out that we all find out about it at the same time... to be truthfull, there are some of us who find out about things ahead of time...and unfortunately even those people can't make a statement like that because of the speed the world moves at now. it wasn't meant in a bad way...and def. not meant to start a pissing match, but rather to avoid one resulting from what you said.

It's a double-edged sword: you want a place where you can discuss the things you like with people that share your interests, but that discission is on a public message board for all to see thus possibly driving up interest. I still think we're better off having a forum to discuss these things.

I sometimes wonder how many people on this board buy toys just because other people like them and congratulate them on a "great score". and one person doesn't create hype, it's repeated people buying toys for ridiculous amounts of money that gets the flippers frothing at the mouth. we all have something that we liked first. it's like the punk kid in high school when it all of a sudden catches on as the cool thing to listen to. buy things because you like them.

The sculpt from Zollmen I dont care for is the Gyaron, just does nothing for me, cant even beleive they are from the same company! I dont look forward to the expese and difficulty there is sure to be in finding a Maza.
