Awww, can't watch in the States because of music copywrite
I'll have to fire up the VNC
Looks like the video has been removed.. sorry guys! I'll post the good bits to instagram later this week..
It looks like there's a cool event in Japan on 07/14:
I saw this a bit ago. Really loving the look of that blank Hedorah! Has a very toxic feel to that colorway.
Marusan Gold Glitter series
@deafmetal please correct me if I am wrong, according to me it is the first time that a classic figure is made with glitter, it really looks great now you only need the golden glitter Kumon (come to the dark side) to match this beautiful Goji.
First I've seen.
Here's some 450s from a few months back:
And a few 350s:
Marusan is releasing green glitter series as well:
Anybody bag one of those Mecha Giant Gorilla test shots?
This recent Bullmark & Marusan collaboration is the MechaG 450 version I have been hoping for since the sculpt was announced:
2018 Fall SF78 event memorial - Bullmark x Marusan Mechagodzilla II 450
I also managed to score a few other favorites from the last couple events:
2018 Fall SF78 event memorial - The Great Monsters of the Century Classic Godzilla 450 GGG Ver.
2018 Marusan sofvi event - Toho Monster of the Century pastel GID lucky bag
Wow @deafmetal, congrats. Those lucky bag blanks are friggin’ gorgeous!
Need some glow shots of that last pair!
Was sorely tempted by that 450 MG painted like the original Bullmark. Instead, I ended up picking up the pink glow lucky bag one (though it's still sitting in Japan, waiting to be shipped with other stuff, including the recent pink GID 450 King Joe).
@Sanjeev Beautiful grab on the 450 MG pink glowie. I purchased 3 MG lucky bags. Looking forward to see what I get when they ship.
Future Taipei Toy Festival exclusive held October 18th to 21st.
Giant Mecha Gorilla was label as an advance offer at Taipei Toy Festival. So sales may open up later in Japan and International for it?
So... back in December of last year, I ordered one of those Tederos Alien Fran UFO sets. Does anyone know what happened to those?
I know there was a backlog, so I didn't want to be a bother, but it's been a while.
Dan, you should contact them. I have had to do that a few times on current and past pre-orders. My pre-orders were usually delay for 1 to 3 months.
@Sanjeev @chimply.kaiju - I am enjoying how the Marusan artists/designers have chosen to use classic "rushed/sloppy" sprays for the MechaG 450's with plenty of the base vinyl exposed. This is especially noticeable on the MG2 arm embossing where one might expect some detailed hand-painting. I feel it gives them a vintage Shōwa era look. I also have one of the lucky bag versions on pre-order from earlier this year. I am hoping for the lime green or perhaps a color we have not seen yet (is grey GID possible?) . I was also very tempted by the SF78 secret Bullmark Cyborg version (not my photo):
I am also enjoying the look of the Mecha Giant Gorillas. This was the first painted version that was released:
It is impossible to keep up with Marusan's ever-flowing cornucopia of sofubi.
The Mechagodzilla 450 sculpt is a nice solid weight in hand with articulated joints at the head, arms, waist, legs and wrists (yes!):
Along with one other thing...
Looking forward to seeing the lucky bag versions. I heard they are shipping very soon.
So good. I love the little fade to red on the brain, makes that part feel a little organic.
Hedorah 450 marbled vinyl versions landing at Marusan Toy Festival in a few days:
Also Kanegon 450 on silver glitter vinyl and GiD Mothra. There will also be a lottery of ten Hedorah 350's hand-painted by Yuji Nishimura of M1GO:
Also, Ultra Marugacha!
Also, Bullmark is reissuing some standard size Toho kaiju as well.
Three new international preorders available from Marusan:
Garamon 450 1st painted version (also secret GID version?)
Red King & Aboras 450 gold glitter versions
The Marugacha line of toys is one that I’m currently enjoying a lot. Of course I’m biased towards the characters, but compared to another current sofvi gachapon series, V.A.G., the vinyl quality feels consistently of a greater quality. It could just be me, but I don’t know.
I’m looking forward to some more that are in the mail from a friend’s recent trip to Japan. They were part of a release at the Godzilla store in celebration of ol Goji’s birthday.
There’s an extra Biollante I picked up as part of a lot on YJA that I’m toying with adding to the Holiday Raffle.
Deafmetal, what's with Goji's right foot?
Oops, I had some black fabric on the table and it curled up by his foot.
Super Festival 79 exclusive release on December 16, 2018.
