Ah, but would you want it to look THAT much closer to a vintage color scheme? Part of why I like the Ghidorah is because it's so different from the vintage...

But by all means, Monster Kolor it up if that's what you're feeling!

Wait there is a vintage version with periwinkle toes? That is sort of like a lavender color. Show me a pic of this vintage ghidorah you speak of :D

Was comparing the new toys sizes to CT's info. CT says the Giant Baragon is over 10 inches tall, while this new one measures 12.5 inches. The others appeared to be the same size as their vintage counterparts.

Also I used several translator sites for trying to obtain info on whether they ship overseas. Could find nothing saying NO, but that doesn't mean they do :?

The original giant Baragon is also approximately 12.5 inches in height.

Confirmed. CT is still correct in saying that the Giant Baragon is over 10" tall. Just doesn't say approximately how tall it is, but yes, it is roughly 12.5" in height. I would love to get this one since the ones I have don't come with a tower.

OK OK guys I get it! I don't have a Giant Baragon and was only going by what CT says specifically, no need to beat a dead horse. If the vintage is 12.5 inches they should say 12.5 not "over 10 inches". Anyhow I doubt I'd spring that much change on a new toy. I'll just wait to find a B-Club version cheaper.

Lame, I know, but YES - I'd like to see the new giant painted up exactly as Yuji aped for the first post-op Jirass! This run, while plenty handsome, looks a lot like one of the B-Clubs of repros past.

Ghidorah, on the other hand, is just perfect as is. Them colors is magic.

    Blasphemy!

Nah, I'm just referring to the vintage Goji.

Yuji did, however, prove early on that the colorway tricks works out just great on other beasties:

Nah, like David said, I was just questioning him wanting a new Giant Goji that looked *exactly* like the original Giant Goji.

The original giant King Ghidorah never impressed me all that much. The colors were barely different from the standard-sized one (which has a better sculpt, in my opinion, anyway)...and they didn't even correct the uni-tail. But this new version's color scheme is dreamy...

Heh...at the end of the day, these are still just reissues. No different from the Popy/B-Club ones that no one gives a shit about!

I managed to find the B-Club one but it didn't have the tower. Still got it for really cheap thanks to a buddy bidding on it for me on YJA. These Giant Baragons are one of my favorites in my collection but I probably won't ever pick up the OG vintage one. I like my arms and legs. I gotta find a way to snag this new one.

For licensed Toho and Tsuburaya this is always the case from my experience.

Now that is blasphemy! I don't care if they are unhyped toys - the B-Club/Popy line is about the only place where suberTsubu fans like myself can get their kaiju fix, without the trust funds for vintage. Not only that, they are great toys. Toho folks don't know how lucky they have it; for all those Ultra series' toys, I am extremely grateful for that line.

I enjoy the B-Club reissues myself from time to time-easy on the wallet, usually of good quality and especially when your chance of getting the vintage item in even halfway good condition is basically nil (not to mention cost if you could). And not TOO hard to come by depending on the sculpt.

But chasing vintage is fun too of course.

Yeah, back when I was the glow king, I obviously had TONS of Popy/B-Club figures. It was glorious. Beauty's in the eye of the beholder...and I see nothing wrong with 'em.

My only point was that nobody would give a shit if someone repainted one. But you slap "Bullmark" and "Yuji Nishimura" on the figure, make it more expensive and harder to get...and *PRESTO*! Suddenly you're the biggest asshole for "ruining" the toy.

Well, I have seen plenty of both toys with - what were in my mind - unflattering customs. People are free to do with their own possessions what they want of course. This thing with M1s at least though, is that there is the argument to be made that there are also no shortage of blanks just waiting for customisers to get at, if that is their wish, and by and large they are the cheapest around.

I'm not keen on customs at all unless the toy is a blank.

But yeah seems like B-Club doesn't get much respect among collectors. I own at least two I can think of. A glow Kanegon and a removable helmet Zoffy. Both are high quality. As good as M1 or these new Bullmark & Marusans. I mean not as spectacular as the master painter Yuji but nice quality.

So Dennis you live in Japan, are these new Bullmark & Marusans pretty readily available or are they hard to find? Also price wise are you paying what you would for a new M1 or are these more costly? Looks like both companies are doing a lot of exclusive toys for stores/events etc.

That's cool--everyone's free to draw the line wherever they want. I feel that since many of these toys are reissues, their "value" is more arbitrarily attributed. They're sorta like pieces of art that we all agree has some value...but it's "art" that can be reproduced...over and over and over, in some cases. Vintage, on the other hand, is clearly defined and limited. Heh...it's still sorta arbitrary to say this thing is more "valuable" than this other thing just because the latter is a reissue--if they're essentially identical, they ought to be on equal footing! But that's just how it is, I guess.

I'm not a painter in the slightest and I don't own a ton of customs...but I'd have no problem adding some periwinkle nail polish to a reissue giant goji (or, at least, having a buddy with the skills and equipment do it!).

I didn't know Bullmark and M1 were still releasing stuff.
Sorry for my noobiness, but I thought the m1 Barunga was the last of M1.

I feel ashamed of my lack of knowledge!

Nice! Think I'll have to wait for another color way though.

Pegila looks too friendly to be doling out -130 degree ice rays and tossing snowmobiles around like rag dolls.
