^^^Thanks for sharing that! I wonder where the number is located on the toy? p.s. Thank you @toothaction for capturing the Gundam comics. Mr. O seems to have removed it from his blog history!
Not having one in person to say for certain, Grace, but I don't think the toy itself is numbered (from what I have seen), just the marker added to the headers.
ohhhhhh! Ok, thank you Stevie! You know, it would be nice if they were numbered on the toy, but I suppose that would be more reason for flipping frenzy . I wonder if Mr. O will ever be tempted into "Mass" production of sorts, like the Anraku toys? Not sure if the buta Medicom Godzillas were popular or not, but I still love his DIY approach to painting each toy. p.s. just snooped "you-know-where" and you were right! You can see the numbers marked in black felt pen, on the headers.
I am thinking that next month is going to please one helluva grouping of good folks and Buta fans that I know (myself very much included). No hoarding, Grace!! ^ . ^
Maybe this is the year of the sea creatures, and we will finally see a Ragon. Going to be one heck of a month. Fingers crossed for a release that some international people can get too (and I mean, outside of certain chammels).
You will not believe me but I was going to post this morning about the teaser pic and the background mystery being Bakura ! AWESOME.
Very nice! Now it would be perfect if Ohaashi included a parasite omake. Can't wait to see the wing detail. And that reminds me, Bear Model has not done a version of this sculpt, have they? They really need to. Awesome Toy's version was nice too; I can't think of any versions of this sculpt that I don't like, actually. Well done OMB.
I hope the arms are posable on that Bakula. I dig the extra lipstick "Lips Like Sugar" paint application though lol.
^^^ He, she, it, borrowed some hallucinogenic lipstick from Prof. River Song Now I'll be in hysterics, if Mr. Ohashisan creates a ZUNOU bell pepper monster!!! ...as well as a Tiger 7 of course!
Bakura is a really creepy monster in the episodes, and Ohashi-san really managed to make a version that is both cute and super-creepy. No they didn't, and I can't imagine how great a Nezubaadon would be too. But it seems BM has focused on monsters that had not been released in standard size by Masudaya, (Sandaagei being an exception), I hope he will continue producing them soon. AT did a good job modifying the original sculpt. Adding the second pair of arms was a nice idea. The color choices were a bit funky, but those are versions you remember ! Buta chose to sculpt the arms on the torso, and I like that too. It makes for a better balanced toy to my opinion. No parasite there, but a tiny omake would be sweet.
^^^ If people don't mind a slight Buta derail: Awesome Toy's magenta version is really... "vivid". Really do like it though, and it's on my list! Marmit's parababies, cream and light lavender version is still my fave: So cutie cute, but what makes it creepy for me, is the "insectness" of the sculpt. Those sectiony segments, buggy arms, and "flyness" of it all (that pupae larvae like tail makes me think of yucky mealworm larvae which wiggle when you poke them, just before you feed them to your pet hedgehog), makes you want to swat it to some degree, because you think it'll fly into your ear and eat out your brainzzzzs! Having a bite size Buta version is going to be phenomenal. Well, at least I HOPE to get my greedy paws on 1 (or 2, or 3, or 4, or 5, or 6 --just kidding(?) STEVE! ) p.s. I'm with you on the Omake, that would be wonderific! Pretty please Mr. O!
Nice derail, Grace! Glad you posted these fellers. I'd actually like a more "vivid" Buta color way on this one down the road too...who knows maybe we'll get one. But just knowing the Buta version is imminent is enough for now.
