Haven't seen this guy: or the one on the far right: but maybe I missed em. The new guy looks kind of like these ones that Koji did:
When I first got my Smogun (red & black version) I thought that line was a piece of hair that had been somehow stuck in the paint. Then I saw other pictures of the figure and realized that others had that same line.
Apparently still not dead (as had been rumored for a bit). Look at these repress gems (stolen from GT): Keratosarus: Everyone's favorite Monkey Wolf guy, Uchugenjin:
I thought they were reabsorbed into TE/Marmit. Love the Daikyo Ceratosaurus repro... too much for me, though. Maybe if they do a color variation. I can never justify paying Hukko's prices for a straight repro- rather just put the money aside to hunt for the vintage item. They just did a white version of the Daikyo Diatrama (giant bird), which was pretty interesting.
Forgive my ignorance, what is TE/Marmit? I know Marmit but don't know "TE" Hukkos prices are expensive, but it's great that they are reissuing some of these vintage pieces because although I agree that a vintage piece is worth paying out the dollars for they are just so damn hard to find. In the several years I have been searching I have only seen the Daikyo Diatrama appear on YJA like 3 times. I know one of them sold for well over 40,000YEN! Any pics of the white version of giant bird Diatrama???
Found this photo yesterday. I had never seen it before! (the pic is taken from a japanes toy blog). This one looks like an original. Yes Hukkokudo is a bit too pricey, but man I'd like one. Congrats on the original Spacemonkey66.
Yes, Target Earth. Speaking of them, whatever happened to the Daikyo-style Bagun that was supposed to be released?
if hukko's histpry still holds true, just wait a little while and people will be trying to give them away i dont know if they have changed their run numbers now or anything, but the first ones were over 100 and people end up selling them for 30 or 40 at times
