    Hey Rei, sorry I missed these earlier. If you are still looking for an ID on him, that is Ozumer General (オズメル大将軍) a baddie from the Mechander Robo series (合身戦隊メカンダーロボ), by Bullmark.

    And this fella is Battle Hawk, from Battle Hawk (バトルホーク), a Go Nagai Series, also from Bullmark.

    I don't want to ask where you got these, because I am afraid of what you might answer (another amazing thrift or flea market find?). What a great duo man, I love both of them. Wonderful character designs and great toys. And like Mike said, it sure doesn't hurt any that you took some amazing photos of them; lovely, Rei!

    I see what you mean. There seem(ed) to be a lot of tokusatsu and robo characters with the 'winged' helmets styles, strangely enough (in addition to these two examples above), but with the face grill/gills, I can see the resemblance.

    Yeah, I would have no doubt that Ikar influenced a lot of sci-fi, not just the Stretch character. You might even seen a bit of him divided up in the Megarite and Betelgeusian from Star Trek: TMP.

    Nice man, pity you could have stumbled across the sister too, to complete the BH trio. Got to love Yatter-Pelican as well, such a delightful fella, and he looks all ready to go on patrol. I am not sure who made that version; I have seen another soft vinyl of him from Takatoku, but it is fairly different. Anywhow, great, fun toys.

    This poor guy was crazy dirty and had been SEWN TOGETHER. Amazingly weird repair. Hot water, soap and crazy glue did wonders:
