oh boy, in 2 weeks, this forum will be full of Andy's clones... I'm quitting this hobyy !!
Ohio shut down crowded events early in the game. I work for city government and our elected officials have been great. All non essentials get to work from home. Most all public interactions cancelled or delayed, including my jury duty I was scheduled for next week All time off and vacations have been cancelled in my division, no surprise there though. Should be a fun few weeks or months. So far people have been cool besides hoarding stuff. Stores got smart and started rationing to combat the hoarders.
I fear for peoples health, my 10 employees, and my business. This is gonna get real tough real quick. Stay safe everyone.
I'm thinking this is going to be the case very soon here in the states. Everyone is going to have a 6 month supply of hand sanitizer and toilet paper and then the stuff is just going to sit on shelves again as it should. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and do what you need to do to keep yourself protected. This too shall pass.
That's nature NOT nurture . . . You can't 'teach' people how to be opinionated Yorkshiremen!
Train on the commute in today was pretty much a ghost town. Of the three other people in my car though, one was drinking a rum/cola mixer and rolling cigarettes (c. 7:30 in the morning). Ah South London, you are oh so reliable.
My work is still bringing people in as of today.. albeit in a modified schedule- smaller crews with less interaction. I’m still surprised though. I worked Monday and Tuesday, but when they informed everyone you could use vacation time or take no pay/no penalty if you didn’t feel comfortable I took the rest of the week off. My wife has autoimmune disorders, and my work isn’t a vital to infrastructure or the anything. Hopefully this weekend will bring positive news to the situation or At least the company will realize that maybe shutting down for a week or two might be a better decision than not for its employees...
Fuck toilet paper! Bring your Hedorah home and after you drop the kids off at the pool, just hop in the shower.
That’s already the plan hombre but it’s the diapers for the boy that are in question. Might save space by stuffing them inside Hedorah like you would any regular contraband
I can already picture the conversation that is going to happen at customs. "This a toy you say, hmmmmm??" Oh wait, I don't need to picture it, I'll just wait to watch it on Border Security.
Ah yes- nappies...not a term I’m familiar with. Yes, diapers take precedence over Hedorah DX. You’re a good man.
Is that polite for "Hold it in until you get home"..??
So the Supermarkets (Bristol, UK) have started limiting the amount people can purchase of certain items, to try and stop the public panic buying and hoarding.
Yesterday in ASDA (Longwell Green) there were 72 full trollies worth of food put aside because people kept coming to the tills with restricted items they were not allowed to purchase. A lot of the goods in those trollies will not be put back on the shelves, so essentially it will be thrown away.
72 trollies worth of food that other people could of bought will now go to waste because of selfish/stupid bastards. That is one store, in one day. Just imagine how much food will go to waste if this sort of behavior continues, (or at the very least delayed whilst the staff put some of the goods back on the shelves).
There's no excuse either. Every store has signs on the shelves alerting shoppers to the restrictions (and also in-store audio announcements.)
My parents in FL just had a neighbor die of Coronavirus.
They are trying to get some supplies like Airborne and went to Costco. It was a shitshow.
Luckily I was able to get them a care package out today, but already the mail is slowing down to certain areas. Priority USPS to FL from GA is gonna take 3 days now.
Be prepared, everyone. Storms a comin'.
Welp, we are officially on lockdown here in Cali.
Despite my handle I'm in CA too. I've appreciated the steps that Newsom has taken so far. It ain't going to be comfortable being on lockdown but I'm thinking it beats the alternative.
I may have a different opinion after day 7 of lockdown
The vinyl..... it SPEAKS to me....
Fuck these self centered oblivious assholes.
Welcome to the club guys ! It's not that hard, just need a little bit of discipline !
'Bama leadership put some policies into effect last night. State-wide, all fast food dining rooms are closed, and there are supposed to be no gatherings of 25 or more people. I just predict most of my neighbors (figuratively speaking) will be too stubborn to let this "keep them from living their lives". I heard that since so many people are home from work this week, about 150 people got together for a day at the park, a couple towns over. Said park, btw, is maybe the size of a football field.
In the shelter at home in the Bay Area. Found out that Game Stop was still open, with paper on the doors saying it’s a misdemeanor to enter and buy anything. Apparently the shop manager is putting pressure on their employees to keep working, despite the police asking them to close. (That was 48 hours ago, might have changed since)
Gamestop was already hemorrhaging money. They won't survive this which is totally fine; that company has been trash for years.
Agreed, Chris (and I am not even a gamer). But for that action alone, I think that that franchise deserves to go under.
As long as the employees are getting paid this way and wouldn’t be otherwise
