Can't we just add this to the rules, or at least give new members a heads up when they first join, to not post that in the sales threads??
Other than having some stupid sub-header name attached to your post count... I don't see the point in padding your post count. Hell, I don't trust anyone (general life rule) on here with a post count under 7,000 anyway. That makes me and most everyone else a N00B on these boards. Carry on...
I will continue to argue and b*tch until my post count reaches 7000 and I get the 'vintage' status I want. I collect vintage toys and I'm old and grumpy. Only 369 more posts to go, wait now 368.....kidding. Really I am kidding. Maybe I can get a cool personalized sub header like some folks here? Like "Vintage Grumpy" lol
It doesn't grate on me like it does most round here, on other buying platforms its a neccesery evil in order to get what your after, I buy and sell a lot through Facebook and without it your message likely won't be read. there are worse things newbies can do that aren't in the rules or enforced, just let them know via PM ( ) and they're likely to stop.
Bees sent? Pee scent..? Actually, that would be awesome - if you could send bees or pee-scented PMs. You know, like PPMs!
isn't it the norm in most forums? I feel like this thread is just as redundant though, why is it that big of a deal?
Whatever it may be in other forums isn't the point. What anyone else does has no bearing on what we do. Anyone who goes through the FAQs here, or who takes the time to familiarise themselves with the board before jumping right in t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶a̶l̶e̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶r̶e̶a̶d̶s̶ ̶s̶e̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ , as they ought to be doing normally, should know from this that it is not the decorum for SB. Whether you agree with it or not, there are certain things this board uses for smooth operation and communal agreement, and this is one of those things. It is also completely and utterly unnecessary. And if that isn't obvious then I guess I might as well just leave it. TL;DR - PM'd is redundant. A thread to clearly point out - yet again - that it is not the norm on here, is not, because people refuse to get the message.
