since you're a newbie and don't know any history of the parties involved...especially Pogue, were going to give you a pass. but more researching and listening and less advice is generally a good rule for newbs around here. this is the skullbrain way.
i tend to think that feedback from a fresh face is always a good thing? ...... seems like it's coming from an earnest place.
feedback or shitting on someone who isn't even here to defend themselves? I think you're not really in a position to start shitting on a long time member and discussing how they should act, some 20 posts in. I'm really surprised that everyone is being so nice to you about it. The skullbrain pitchforks have definitely lost their edge of late. I would take toybot's advice, otherwise you might head down a bitter path. This place is friendly, but it can turn on you quite quickly if you don't respect it's rules of engagement. : )
I am sure he means well and points made by him and other long time members are certainly true. I am not ready to throw Glenn under a bus just based on this instance though. He has always been a good guy in regards to me and helpful when he was at S7. I am not exactly happy about this scenario but it is what it is. Hopefully it all gets sorted out for myself and anyone else involved. For the moment I can accept that I sent money via gift and that I am still awaiting resolution. Hopefully Glenn is just extremely busy or out of the loop and will respond soon. I do agree that 3 months is way to long but I'm not resorting to voodoo or hitmen in response. It is nice to know people do care about the situation though, so thank you for that.
If its true that he posted on FB this week from what I hear, then I could care less about people throwing him under the bus. He's flat out ignoring people at this point, I look forward to seeing him sell here again without any repercussion.
don't we all dictate the sb way? if pm's are being sent and it's time to close the case then wicked. i'm happy that people got a chance to communicate a shitty experience, good for them. it's healthy. loosing money sucks. having people you look to for advice take sides with the cause of your pain or play down the experience also sucks. i'm sorry my comments annoyed you toybot but i don't see what being new to this forum has to do with it. The vodoo or sb picnics were a counter balance to earlier comments that seemed to play down their plight. Imagine how this situation looks to someone new to the forum.
I love new guys on the board. so fresh, naive, un-jaded. I was like you once sensensempomitypommm... then I grew old and grizzled and became a grumpy mod.
While I am trying to stay level headed, I certainly understand you being steamed. Your a solid board member and don't desserve the grief. I hope you get your refund soon.
I like them until they sell off whatever kaiju they first bought along with their soul for Nag, Anraku, Bemon, Mecha or Gorilla Ju, fill in newest most hyped toy here........
It's not SB culture, it's basic social intelligence. Do you walk up to two people arguing and assume you can solve their problem without understanding the history of the dispute? No. You need to do more reading and listening before throwing out your two cents. Just my two cents.
i love you 2 toyrobot and your blog the above was in response to Jordan23? asking who i was it has nothing to do with shitting on a Pogue
SB has its own way and its worth falling in line. This place doesn't operate like most internet forums and the people here like it that way. Most people butt into a wall or two when new and most members are used to it. I certainly did but I'm very thankful I stuck around. It is well worth it as there are many great members here and the collective knowledge is astounding. No matter your background, there is plenty to learn around here. Read the FAQ's and observe, it won't take long to adjust if you do.
i don't agree with most of that but someone should give you whatever toy your waiting in line for Daimyo. m3kcomp thanks bbb
You have to appreciate the irony of using RFSO in this thread. Ah. As for the pitchforks, I'm with Andy, but I believe the batlle is lost. Fun game: open any sale thread (this one excluded - should be in Whatever anyway) and try to find posts that aren't "pm'd", "wish I had money", "nice price" or badly camouflaged self-bumps. Actually, it's not fun at all.
