although this is so fuckingamazing.... it's not something i'd actually consider adding to my collection
The new Restore vinyl, Dry Head, is up at Lulu. It is small at only 1.5 inches. But I bet it would look great being held up by the Debris Japan vinyl. (a la Clash of the Titans, Medusa head)
Just received my white Restore Debris yesterday - not planing to do anything to it, I am just a sucker for white vinyl . This thing is georgeous. Awesome details and great impression.
So, who's actually working on a figure for the contest? That one dude dropped his finished piece early and blew the doors off, but I haven't seen anyone else even discuss participating. Is everyone keeping this close to the vest?
I'm working on it. Got the spraying part done today, but that's only half of it... There are actually a couple finished entrants up on the Restore site now: http://www.restore-created.com/entries-gallery/ Kinda surprised by the direction people are taking this guy so far, considering his traditional design.
Work so far... let me know what you guys think in that thread! http://skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?p=634516#p634516
Just found the Dry Head in my mail box. I knew this thing would be fun to play with the Debris Japan!
my custom titled "DeathTrap" is an homage to Trapjaw, Deathlok and Hellboy. I shaved half his head and used epoxy sculpt to mold the cybernetic half of his head. Heaven forbid toy customizers check their own egos and stop to think about the context of the toy they're painting, the history behind the subject matter, and the theme/flow/purpose of the art show or contest they're supposedly 'contributing' to.
