holy shit that is history right there I held that thing in Tokyo in my hands back in 2008 I think it ultimately was a lottery prize Glad it is in your collection esp Lucky duck!
I know that this guy is a crossover with Skull Toys' Dokurocks but is there a specific name for this version of the character?
To be more accurate, it is a mashup of the Skull Toys head for the full size RxH Chaos Man body (Dokurocks Man) with the body from Evil Bat. I have seen another one of these for sale, so I think it is an actual release. There were also figures released with the Evil Bat body combined with either the Chaos Man or Pheyaos Man head. All of these were extremely limited in number and were sold from the RxH shops around April 2012 through September 2012. A couple of the Pheyaos head figures turned up under the name "Warrior Pheyaos." Not sure yet if that is an official name.
Some interesting recent finds: Looks like a few of the flocked Beast Chaos minis made it out into the world. I can't place the Beast Chaos on the right (unpainted pearl blue vinyl). Anyone know the release info? Finally.
I love how patience and good detective work has been paying off for you D. Does this mean you are complete on Gatchigons????
One more to go. The metallic red version still eludes me- think it was a secret release from the store in 2009.
Damn, great collection IronPaw ! I'm particularly taken with those Uamou ones.....really want to add one to the collection.
^ Thanks Bitterpill! The Uamous are my favorite, they look too goofy to be threatening like the other guys.
jesus, you just blew my mind. I hadn't seen a number of those uamao variants. Is this one a black rub on GID?
Thanks doom! Theres a good amount I dont have that are just as great and I've missed. This one was painted by Gato-san and I also got the matching regular Uamou. I don't believe its black rubbed, but its painted on GID.
One more. This one is kind of fascinating in its obscurity. At first glance, this looks like the orange bubble Chaos that was released at Superfestival at the beginning of 2008. However, closer inspection reveals a different scarf and eye from the production item. Digging deeper, if you look through the photos from the opening day of Shinto Gangu in February 2008, you can clearly see this figure in the front of Mori's prototype shelf: http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=18042 Another store escapee?
